They are going to lose down ballot (house & senate)  and throw every group they claim to support to the mercy of extreme right to satisfy the ego of a man who is barely alive.

Dems are realizing it too late. Trump was mocking it out ever since Biden was showing signs of old age. They should have named Harris or Clinton last year itself. They don’t have a winnable candidate against Trump. Biden is the only one close to it and even he is certain to lose. WTF were Dems thinking? Now, even CNN is showing how bad Biden looks.

Only way for Biden is for undecided  who would have otherwise voted for Trump gets disgusted with him and  vote for NOTA  (like mua)

Chelsea?

They have Whitmer, Harris, Roy Cooper (an understated, boring, highly effective governor) etc. etc. But Joe thatha's ego is too big.

Chelsea is way too young. I meant Crooked.

Please, no. That would be like making Deep Dasgupta the next India team captain.

Why the quotes? It was pretty obvious - esp due to the almost direct attack on Mike Pence for not fully siding with DJT.

If this guy is on my ballot, I might just vote for him. He seems to have more sense and less hubris than either of the big contenders.

Like most Americans, Dustin Ebey is unhappy with the prospect of an electoral rematch between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.

Unlike most of us, however, he's decided to do something about it.

The 35-year-old Texan became a viral sensation this week after legally changing his name to Literally Anybody Else and declaring his candidacy for the White House. The goal, he told Reason on Thursday, is "giving a unified voice to the idea that we deserve better."

"[Biden and Trump] have their platforms, they have their stances. And if you don't fit into them, you have you have to decide," Else says. "Some people they're perfectly aligned with—but it's definitely not the majority."

It could be Deep fake?

Not deep fake. An extended video shows him trying to bumble through an apology for saying it. He also called Kamala Harris "VP Trump".

I am sympathetic. But not Presidential material anymore. At all.

Doubt there was any such blatant planning. It was a mob attack to disrupt the proceedings - anarchy at best

Insurrection: A violent uprising against a government.

It was violent, for sure. And DJT absolutely egged it on because he is a sore loser - the Javed Miandad of US politics. Just because he may, in some small, remote, uncertain way, be perceived as India-friendly, it does not absolve him of his dictatorial goals.  India would do well to steer clear of trusting him - someone who feels slighted by every remark that he deems insulting is too dangerous. After all, he has called India "filthy."

He also called himself the First woman black president! Sympathetic only for regular people, he has a big ego and a politician with multiple corruption issues. Plus he is not fit to be a head of the state.

This is where we differ. I sympathize. The guy lost his 1st wife. And his military-serving son. He is old and suffering from dementia.

But sympathy does not translate into a vote.

Never voted for DJT even in 2016, this time I would have, except if Jan 6 would not have happened. His pro-India stance is very vital as it helps India set a narrative in the west. Otherwise nobody cares for India, including Indian Americans, in general.

His pro-India stance

Are you sure he has a pro-India stance? To me, it's all just rhetoric and has no tangible meaning. If GoI does any one little thing that he deems personally insulting, his tune will change.

To me, it's all about economics, and it's under the current US govt that India has emerged as US' biggest trading partner. See the jump since 2020.

It’s all about optics. If a cretin like Obama comes to India and preaches about religious freedom, all secularists jump up and down. We don’t want a POTUS doing that ever again.

IMO, Economics >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Optics

Hobnobbing with Rashya will not contribute to economic growth in India.

If POTUS comes to India and lectures about religious freedom, then PMOI can come and lecture about race relations. Just keep the tangibly mutually beneficial relationship going.
