Looks like they came short by 10 million votes compared to the last election. Americans do one thing right wrt an election. They offer a longer window for voting. Some states start earlier by a week some by couple of days. They also offer multiple avenues to vote. Ballots and in person voting But it's about time they make the voting day a federal holiday. A mandatory no work holiday. They can even make it a long weekend thing that they love to do over there. That would help with the turnout.

That would help with the turnout. About 3000 ballots did not reach the voters on time. So they asked for extension in Georgia. Judge said no. After 7 pm poll closed. I am with you on that making it a Holiday. US election is always consequential not just this year.

Some skits are downright boring. I like the Trump impersonator though. He is dead on. Also Dana carvey as Biden is also good. But he is a legend. Their best writers left. It was best when they had Tina Fey and co were there. Personally one of the best skit i have seen was from 2016. This team was a lesser known team compared to other comedy central team. One of the hilarious parody i have ever seen. coffee_rules 1

I like their sarcastic ones . The George Washington one from comic Nate Bargarze Is a gem ”How many liters in a gallon? Nobody knows!” Edited November 13, 2024 by coffee_rules
ravishingravi Posted November 13, 2024 Author Posted November 13, 2024 Just 8 months back, it was controversial to give a platform to Trump. Establishment tried it's best. Striking paralells with Modi's political rise.
ravishingravi Posted November 13, 2024 Author Posted November 13, 2024 Interesting. Vivek asked for it. Go in aggressive in first 6 months. If they pull off any degree of tangible success, tremors will felt across govt offices around the world.

ravishingravi Posted November 15, 2024 Author Posted November 15, 2024 America is a spin alley. The most propogandized country in the world , atleast in a democracy. Left right partisan nonsense to distract from core issues.
