There are only 6 ODI's before Champions Trophy:

 

3 VS SL in August 2024

3 VS Eng in February 2025

 

I don't think Rohit and Kohli will go to SL so only 3 ODI's before Champions Trophy.

Rohit Will Be in ODI WC Kohli 39. If they are targetting it they are stupid. Playing long innings of ode require lots of stamina

Thought Icc and other boards were looking to dump CT, as there are already too many ICC -events and the duration is too close that audiences, even teams getting bored  of this.

The value of being world champions is diluted now. One team is Champions in Test which happens every year, other in T20 which happens in every 2 years and another team is champions in Odis.

 

Too many ICC event and v.close to each other.

CT was created because they felt that only 1 ICC event per 4 years is not enough and then ICC would like to test their ability to arrange multi team events to test readiness for their logistics. And keeping boards and stadiums ready for big event so that hosting cntry does not have to do all in single time.

 

But with so many leagues around the world, stadiums are already up-to-date, Boards knows the logistics  and all and broadcaster too are ready.

 

CT was redundant back then and now its more redundant, previously as well teams were not taking it seriously thats why a peak Aus team never won that when there was a huge difference between them and the second best team.

This is almost a perfect squad for CT 2025. Batting till 8 , 6 bowling options, 3 strike bowlers ( Bumrah, Shami, Kuldeep).
