The young 'uns have delivered in this format so far.  Loads of potential there.  Some of the seniors won't be missed at all.

This is evolution of T20s.

The players who grew up watching IPL in their teens are bound to be better hitters than the past generation.

Not sure about the test team. But our T20 talent pool is never going to dry.

I was talking about white ball only.

I don't think our white ball pool of talent has ever been stronger.

We can field 2 good teams tbh

We have been resting Kohli, Bumrah, Rohit in at least half of our assignments.

Talking about world cricket. All of SA, NZ, Aus have the best limited overs batting pool they ever had. Even England has plenty of options even if didn't translate into success.

We have resources for that as well.
Jurel, Sarfaraz, Musheer, Tilak all have good numbers in FC. Jaiswal, Pant aren't going anywhere for next 7 years.
Bowling side as well, bowlers like harshit, himanshu are making waves. Offies are a problem but Sundar will do fine I believe.

I think Australia's pool is good but it's probably not better than it was in the early 00's.

NZ's best always do well but I wouldn't say they have too many choices.

Good thing is the likes of gill, ishan kishan and ruturaj are all put on notice today.

Slow batting will not be encouraged anymore. Jaiswal too must price his mettle to get into the T20 team.

Would like to see Ashutosh Sharma (PBKS), he seems like power hitter and can play scope and ramps too.

showed that he can play shots under pressure and tight situation

We miss the youngsters these days after seeing the seniors showcase their "experience" :giggle:

Have to keep some consistency in selections. So far even Parag can't get a game. We've identified players like Rinku, Parag, Ramandeep, Abhishek, Tilak. They haven't done anything for them to be dropped and better to give them chances before we go to others.

Don't want to do what we did to Venky Iyer. Gave him a few games, he did well and we moved on to somebody else for no reason. Give these players confidence and back them. Won't serve anybody if we keep on dropping & replacing them, and they'll end up looking over their should every game.

Not asking for musical chair to keep on going and no time given to these player to develop, but think power hitting is still missing in later order in this game and game before that too we saw same thing.

The gas goes off after 17th over, think Ashutosh can be tried in that position he looks like power hitter who has some brains and does not always target long-on long off area but can play ramp, scoop etc which are needed when bowler are trying to bowl yorkers

Naah man we're good. We've been consistently scoring north of 200 and are hitting more 6s than any other team. Let's not try to fix something which ain't broke and we're likely to hit the law of diminishing returns.

Better area to focus on is our pace bowling. Batting and spin is covered but pace bowling needs to be better. Avesh is clearly not the answer and we're practically playing with one specialist pacer (Arshdeep) and one pace all-rounder (Pandya). We need to have at least 2-3 other pacers who can provide some level of control in PP overs, and bowl at the death.

We can't keep relying on Bumrah forever and need to develop some bench strength in pace deptt. Avesh is not it, and Siraj is not the answer either. That is one area we need to give chances to fringe players. I say get in Harshit, Kuldip, Yash Dayal etc. and see who can be the next man up. This is the area where we can benefit the most.

By now tm and selectors should have declared open house for fast bowler, come and give trials -- Simarjeet, Himashu, tyagi, rana, dayal etc should have all been called in one of these t20i series against zim, sl, bd and Sa.

Ind is so low on pacers right now that they do not know who are 1st 3 pacers for bgt
