Manufacturing was 17% of GDP in 2010.

Then Modi govt launched schemes to increase it to 25%

And successfully managed to bring it to 13% in FY2024.

I don't recall manufacturing going up to 25% anytime. It has been stagnant at 14-16% of GDP.

Absolute and % of GDP are two different ways of looking at it. I look at absolutes because % of GDP can be deceptive if the pie has increased due to other factors such as 3 fold increase in infra spending.

Well I think this is bad strategy and it will hurt RG in my view. You can't play the same card again in the third term. His folks will get wary of this anti India and rallying with deep state actors abroad.

We know what he is going for. But this has been done already. He has worked hard and his team has shielded him well with strong media campaign. But more exposure like this will make even his did hard fans struggle to support him.

Congress supporters never give up on their messiah. They will call everyone names like bhakths, etc. but you will never see one stray from sycophancy and blind-worship for idiots from this family.

GDP also doubled since then. So, India invested in other sectors, in Absolute terms it will be enormous growth (doubled in fact).

According to you, what schemes would be needed for any country to start manufacturing??

Can you explain the difference between 17% of GDP in 2010 vs 13% of GDP in 2024?

I am not one showing dreams of increasing it to 25% from 17% to end up with 13%.

This question should be asked to people who told us that.

I have no clue which schemes were required to get it to 25%.

Even Modi will be made to look stupid if he gives an open unscripted PC (like PM Manmohan Singh) or interview to non-godi media. We saw how he fumbled against Karan Thapar.

When it comes to Indian politics, bar is in hell.
