GG has been contradictory in past as well, he talks that team comes first but he in LSG franchises choses KL as the captain.

 

When Avaesh was bowling Sub 140 kmph in ODIs he said if Ind TM has asked to bowl slow when Avaesh was bowling similar pace in IPL he didnt check with Avesh.

 

He kept arguing that how bcci makes some1 face of Ind cricket and how others are neglected, but he is doing same for GIll.

 

Hopefully he has foresightedness and use the available resources well and infuse match winning mentality which he usually talks about.

The Iyer that should be getting chance is Venky Iyer. He looks to be having the skills to different conditions and quality fast bowling as far as T20/ODI is concerned.

 

I won't suggest to go with Shreyas. He is good enough for India but a complete dude outside but given our selection pattern we will select him for SENA and he won't deliver anything there. Instead Venky can be successful if groomed properly or atleast deserves a chance. He can also bowl 2-3 overs when needed.

They don't count it. 

 

Making finals is easy they say. Beating SA by 300 runs, getting SL all out under 100 runs thrice in an year, all easy. That one innings by Travis Head is all that matters, that makes him better than Sachin even.

Its been 10 months since the world cup and Kohli etc have clearly lost form. They will be old by the time next world cup comes. If we need to plan for a young team this is the time and not 1 year before the world cup

 

Sachin was great in 2003 WC and helped team reach the final, doesnt mean he should be considered now.

That's why sachin played 2007 n 11 wc. And sachin failed in 2007 wc, still played 2011 wc. Kohli odi  centuries in 2023 = sachin odi centuries in 2007-10.

It is 100% easy, semis is guaranteed for a team like india, how many strong in form teams are there in any tournament and we dont even have quaterfinals? and then its just one match to the final if you dont choke. Winning 2 might be a bit more difficult.
