There is no need to come up with a name for champion trophy winners, fans still bring ip the Cb series as well as The natwest trophy, all of them were pointless too.

 

Tournaments like these remain in memory for a long time

Majority of india celebrated T20 WC with as much pleasure as ODI WC. Hardly anybody celebrated SENA victory of 2020-21.

Associate teams get good exposure In T20 WC. Nothing wrong if it is held in every two years. Once T20 will become extremely popular in many nations then once in 4 years could be considered.

Because India didnt win anything for 11 years despite being a cricket mad nation- if jobless velapanti people go onto the streets to cheer a win after so long, doesn't make the tournament itself prestigious- England won the Ashes in 2005 at home after like 30 years and they had bus parades, since then they have won more Ashes series but there isnt the hoo haa like it was. Once you get the donkey off the back thats it its not hyped- esp the T20 WC which happens every year, if India wins the one in 26 and 28 as well it will make the tournament even more meaningless.

Associate nations should actually play more among themselves....for them Qualifier tournament every 2 years makes sense.

 

I am not sure about others but I frankly watched only 3 games in T20 WC.

Australia, England & Final...other games I didn't watch it, only saw updates on score and highlights of India Pak game. It felt like a drag.

Those teams should play bilaterals with big teams, no need to play once every 2/4 years only.

Big teams have no intention and time to play with associate nation. Plus most send their C D teams to play with them. Only in WC they get chance to play serious cricket .

That's where ICC has to grow a spine. Tell the teams to tour smaller nations once a while, even if its B,C teams.

 

Too much focus on money nowadays.

There were hardly any crackers burst  .. Did not find neighbours congratulating each other . No invitation from PM ,No open bus ride. 

 

As far welcome is concerned even under 19 cricketers receive grand welcome after win.
