For rest of the world, CT doesn't register. We celebrate 2007 WT20 much more than 2013 CT. Same with WI, do they even remember they won in 2004? Aussies never talk about 2006 or '09 editions, I don't even remember the KOs of those tournaments. Eng fans don't talk about 2013 CT (or 2004 CT) choke, but 2016 final over traumatized Stokes. 

 

Truth is its better to be premium tournament in one format than 2nd rate (that too behind by a huge distance) in another one. You can win a CT with 3-4 wins, need double that many in T20 WCs. RSA won 1998 mini WC by winning 3 matches, here they won 8 and still finished runner up, tells you everything.

Our problems are mostly internal.  KhanGress & Liberandoos want Team Ind to travel to Pak (no matter what).  Rajeev Shukla has openly announced his excitement already.

Pak had to agree to hybrid model for Asia Cup, surely can't hold an ICC cup on their own entirely. We will definitely have a hybrid model, just hope we play in SL and not ghatiya UAE venues. Even if SL isn't playing, their board will welcome a move involving hosting ICC games especially a team like India, tourism dependent country, gate revenue etc.

Right now PCB is having discussion with ICC as well as with SL cricket board to get SL as substitute for Ind (In case Ind don't travel to Pak).  PCB has refused to go ahead with hybrid model.  ICC is also not keen on hybrid model for multiple reasons (As per latest reports).                                    Asia Cup (organised by ACC which is dubai based) was a different story.

On a serious note.  NO.      Farmer protest and related stuff can erupt any moment.  That was the primary reason for not having any WC matches in punjab (ie Mohali)

Rajeev Shukla is the snake who undermined India when he became ICC's chairman a few years ago. He dismantled Big 3, and unrolled nearly every decision which favored India. The guy is a cancer to Indian cricket and India's best interests.

I take my words back then. It's Manohar who's the snake. Let Shukla continue his comedy. Apologies to Rajeev Shukla for confusing him with that desh drohi Manohar.

 

I think he's raising Pak's hopes and then Jay Shah will come in and make a statement in his inimitable style stating India won't travel to Pakistan :agree:
