Actual point is Manu is lucky to be born in an extremely mediocre nation in all aspects. So whoever rises above this mediocrity even by a slight margin will have world at their feet

What about Ravi Dahiya , Aman sehrawat,sarabjot , lovlina , hockey team etc. they all won medals. 40 brands starting chasing her when she won medals. How many brands chased Olympic 21 medalists or 24 medalist .

Little children are separated from their parents and put through intense training and doping programs. They are like robots with no other purpose in life. 

 

Same true with USSR, East Germany, Cuba, many former communist states, Central Asian 'stans'. 

 

Can you imagine this happening in the subcontinent? People would riot and rightly so.

It says that they were humiliated before this program started as they could only 5 golds.

 

So even without such programs they were winning 5 golds.

yeah then dont complain if we dont win medals..

 

Either we have:

 

1. China/USSR style programmes OR

2. a very high standard of living country like US or Aus which promotes sports and has infrastructure and money available to all to participate and excel.

 

We are nowhere close to either of these and people slit wrists every 4 years crying about not having more medals

Seems like since the Modi gov, he paralympic athletes have smashed the medal hauls, 36 of the 45 medals in history of Paralympics for India have come since 2016
