Archery Women Team: A semifinal is there for the taking for Team India as the top 4 are way better than rest of the field. A bronze can be expected.

Archery Woman Individual: No hope for a medal. Korea 1-2 is way too strong and China is also ahead. Only a miracle can bring in medal here.

Strangely enough Deepika has the best chance to reach the QFs - although she will face a Korean there if she makes it that far.

Ankita will face Kaur in the 1/16th elimination if both progress.

In 2020, we had only 1 women qualifying the ranking round. This time 3 women. Women team also didn't finish in top 12 in ranking round. This time rank 4, and direct QF entry.

This should be Deepikas last. All big talks before the games, she was pretty sore Atanu couldn’t qualify. Last time she made a huge and cry after different partner was selected. Now after all this

Paris 2024 Olympics: Ankita Bhakat ends 11th in women’s archery ranking round; Deepika in 23rd place

Last time we only had 1 woman who qualified at all. All the women in the qualifying round make it to the brackets. There was no women's team last time as only 1 woman had qualified.

Better than last time for sure. Hopefully a medal from the team bracket.

Tennis tough draw

Both of India's entrants in the tennis event - Sumit Nagal in the men's singles and Rohan Bopanna/Sriram Balaji in the men's doubles will face French opponents in their first round matches.

Nagal will face Corentin Moutet in the first round. Win that, and it's a tough second round that awaits, as he will likely face fifth seed Alex de Minaur.

Bopanna and Balaji will open their campaign against Edouard Roger-Vasselin and Fabien Reboul. Roger-Vasselin has partnered Bopanna on the ATP Tour before. If they win their first round, they'll face the German second seeds Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz in the second round, before a potential quarterfinal against British fifth seeds Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski.

Male individual rounds on ... Tough start.. competition is really fierce here! Not many points separating the top from the 30th position.

Top archer male will pair with top archer women (for teams that have women archers) for the mixed team as well. Indian archers in the middle of the pack at the start.

In 6th position as a team and 9th in mixed.

Posted (edited)

It is crucial that one of the archer finishes well...maybe under 10...so vital for mixed team event.

Overall, Mens team poaition is tight for position 4 to 6...just 2 arrows between these three teams.

Now 7th in mixed.

In men's team gap between 4 and 6 is 2 points...1002-1000 . Rank#4 is important because of automatic QF qualification.

I think 4th position is not worth it...guaranteed semis exit against Korea...if not 4th then maybe finish around 6 to 8....avoid koreans till Final at any cost...thats your best chance....

Yes I agree. I m curious how Koreans have made archery a monopoly. Scores are huge. How do they do it. Its an anomaly
