All batsmen are boring to watch after watching Sachin for 20 years.

For me, it was Pravin Amre. Earliest memories of watching cricket, Pravin Amre's batting and that purple jersey...OMG, I hadn't shed my milk-teeth back then but it was orgasmic when I think about it.

never forget Ravi Shastri,he literally made me cry.I used to hide behind the sofa everytime he came to bat.

Sometimes, for ODIs, we'd start the telecast a few min late, score would be 10/1, Vengsarkar would be facing ....

... and I'd be praying like heck that it be Srikkanth and not Shastri at the non-striker end. My prayers were answered only 25% of the time.

Pravin Amre's Cricket career is a complete mystery. In Tests, he had everything to become a legend of that era.

Kambli first and then Dravid Ganguly and Laxman s emergence all in 1996 shut the door completely. Middle order had 2 slots ( no 3 and no 6) to fight for as Azhar and Tendulkar were locked at 4 and 5. Openers were Sidhu and Prabhakar. Commentry king Majnu and Kambli were in mix for the other 2 slots. Basically it was

Sidhu

Prabhakar

Majnu

Tendulkar

Azhar

Kambli

Dongia

Jadeja was also in mix. So basically Amre was part of 1993 Eng tour of India and was then dropped. By the time he performed in domestic to get back Ganguly Dravid Laxman were already entrenched. India didnt travel to SENA  for 3 years between 1993 ( SAF Tour)  to 1996 ( England tour). So Amre who was 90 s Rahane were overlooked for Kambli who scored 2 double centuries on flat tracks. Case of bad luck..

How did everyone miss Vikram Rathour? The guy was a weakling, the ball would barely cross mid on/mid off.

Among present batsmen, I find Ben Stokes boring. He is good in England but in India, he is a dud. Even with bazball, while the other batters go all guns blazing, he just tuk tuks and gets out for cheap scores in a very predictable fashion. And that's boring!
