KL has fastest ipl 50 and 100 against wi on some 39 balls. :fear1:

Young KL was a very aggressive batsman. He became a stat padder after being snubbed despite 5-6 50s in a high profile test series against the Aussies. Not making a hundred was held against him and he learnt his lesson.

Off topic but has anyone seen Damian martin to play? He was the most elegant player I have ever watched I used to be his biggest fan

Best timer of the ball ... just a push even for trundlers and the ball would race to fence

Thats why you shouldn’t look at numbers only.. few of the fattu inning he played in kos in all format be it t20, ipl or odi wcs  he should have never been selected until he leave his fattugiri. I am surprised he still make it to odi team after

All of his runs are through drives. He pulls here and there. His drives are pleasing to watch but his passive nature to hit the ball makes him boring. I have never seen him take the initiative to hit the ball.

I have seen Dravid go balls to the walls when he wants to score.

Plenty of pulls and attacking shots in this innings.

Personally, i dont find technically correct but slow scoring batsmen boring to watch. Its quite entertaining to watch, given that they look so good in their form. To me, boring batsmen are slow-scoring batsmen who also have weird technique, aka slow and graceless.

My top 5 boring batsmen to watch would be:

1. Chanderpaul

2. Steve Waugh

3.  Steve Smith

4. Marvan Atapattu

5. Jadeja

No Idea what people think of when they say most boring batsman. Strike rate means very little for me when I look at test quality batters.

Just bang Bang 200 SR T20 innings from random folks is  not entertaining for me outside of the context of that match. Most of these guys can't make it to a test squad and then have a 20 test match career.

Plus cricket and cricketers before 2010 was a different era. Have to judge them in comparison to that era. For me boring batters were those who had no elegance or style in their batting. Even when they scored boundaries they looked unattractive. They somehow survived to score some runs.

Never found Dravid as a boring batsman. Enjoyed VVS, Dravid, Sachin bat for years. Dravid was very stylish shot maker. Late cuts, square cuts, straight drives. Flicks, Pull, hook and defence.. he wasn't ugly or boring to watch like a Pujara for example.

Someone mentioned Sachin.. W.T.FF .lol

Marvan was quite elegant. I'd put Pujara and Cook as more boring.
