Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, R Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah won't be available for India's season-opening Duleep Trophy from September 5.

The teams for the tournament will be picked later this month . However, most other centrally-contracted players are set to feature in the four-team competition.

Since his India debut, Virat Kohli has featured in only two domestic first-class matches, Rohit Sharma three. Even Shubman Gill has played only four.

Many of India’s leading stars will turn up for the Duleep Trophy opener in Bengaluru on September 5.

He would prefer to chill in London for 8 weeks rather than play 2 red ball domestic matches to get him in groove for the Bangladesh tests... priorities bhai log

Decent enough squads.... End of the road for likes of Saini and Kuldeep Sen though and perhaps Tyagi

Saini was in Ind A till v.recently , bcci wasted their time on him should have been some younger bowler.

Sen underwent some surgery, Tyagi is no where near Ind cap more so in red-ball.

There will be few (10-12)on stand-by too as some of these will be selected for test matches
