Dube is not a star? At least his wife is one, making it in all the news.

Anjum was travelling with him in T20 WC too... Don't know what to make of her.  She seems to celebrate Hindu festivals with him but seems there is another side to her:joyman:

good to see Himanshu Chauhan and Harshit Rana in the squad...but seniors like Thusar Despande and Arshdeep may play ahead of them..

also Mayank Yadav not playing in 1st round..hoping its not some other injury and he is back from round 2

Umran and Himanshu in same team but only 1 will get to play at best.

Vyashak and Warrier will play based on seniority quota & Kamboj Umran Himanshu will fight out for 1 spot in case it is a seamer track (unlikely)

From India A

Akash deep and Kaverappa should be ideal first 2.

Krishna and Khaleel are similar mentally.

High potential pace attack on paper but that's on paper.

India C has blockbuster pace attack but won't get all of them to play.

Harshit is in a team with average Pacers & he is best of the lot there.

I much prefer Zones, gives the players something more to play for

I've thought for a while Duleep needs to be the premier tournament. The Ranji played in parallel as a feeder

6 zonal teams playing each other home and away in test match venues.

I think Mayank had definitely picked up some new injury. If the tournament starts in September, there’s just no way he won’t be playing otherwise.

I saw some 3 day old video he is bowling in NCA nets..Did the uploader put an old video?...no idea

only thing I can think here if he is fit that..they may not want to push him directly in 4 day game..probably would lik eto ease him into shorter format..or may be they feel to give more time till 2nd or 3rd rounds

Uncapped Players from each squad.
Any player that has played even one T20 international is not included in below list.

Team A
Tanush Kotian ( A defensive offspinner who can bat like an inferior version of Ashwin)

Vidwath Kaverappa ( Highly rated in Domestic but lack pace overall. Gets decent bounce though)

Kumar Kushagra ( Left hand 19 year old WK batsman)
Shaswat Rawat ( Left hand Batsman from Baroda having 50 avg in FC)

Team B

Abhimanyu Easwaran ( Ever Eternal India A veteran who is still uncapped, maybe picked on reputation, solid experience e of 94 FC matches)
Musheer Khan ( Surprise unexpected selection of this middle order bat who can bowl handy left arm spin)
Nitish Kumar Reddy ( Highly promising fast bowling allrounder with batting his strong suit, next in line for Indian selection)
Yash Dayal ( Token left arm quota selection, military medium and at best a domestic talent)
Mohit Awasthi ( Another Token Mumbai selection, gentle pace but effective with new ball )
N Jagdeeshan ( Another domestic veteran batsman WK but time is running out from him)

Team C

Abishek Porel ( Highly rated young WK batsman)
B Indrajith ( Domestic stalwart that didn't get his due, highly impressive and maybe this is his time)
Hrithik Shokeen ( Offspinner Allrounder much like Kotian but this breed is dying anyways)
Manav Suthar ( Jadeja clone that is vying for his replacement in future)

Vyshak Vijaykumar ( Gentle 130k fast bowler with decent results in FC but not earth shattering)
Anshul Kamboj ( Picked based on IPL reputation, fast bowling allrounder)
Himanshu Chauhan ( Rewarded for brilliant first season, Most promising fast bowler along with Mayank as per resident ICFers)

Aryan Juyal ( Right Handed WK batsman with good FC numbers, just backup to Porel)

Team D
Atharva Taide ( Highly rated opening batsman that impressed in IPL as well)

Yash Dubey ( Strong built fast bowler with IPL experience but doesn't look International standard)

Ricky Bhui ( Solid FC veteran with over 70 matches, middle order bat)
Saransh Jain ( Another offspinner that is vying for Ashwin place but he is 31 already so not much time for him)

Aditya Thakare ( Another gentle pace bowler from land of trundlers-Vidharbha)

Harshit Rana ( Most talked about uncapped fast bowler currently in India)

Akash Sengupta ( His FC numbers are shockingly poor that you can't even distinguish whether he is a bowler or a batsman. Apparently he is a fast bowling allrounder)

Saurabh Kumar ( Domestic left arm spin veteran, should already have played for India but Jadeja and Axar denied him)

Looking at the names, Umran can get a chance for his team. Make or break opportunity for him.

Extremely disappointed that Sen is missing yet again due to fitness/injury reasons.

This was a critical tournament for him especially at his age.

Simarjeet should have been tried over Kamboj or Awasthi.   I mean it is extremely weird that a CSK player is. Not even in scheme of things despite doing well in IPL.
