If i were a player i would be thoroughly enjoying this break.  They will come back rejuvenated. Each year they need atleast one extended break.

Yes rare time to recharge their batteries. Current cricketers who play all formats should be respected just for workload

It’s so funny about withdrawal symptoms. I had a dream last night , a nightmare in fact. India is playing aODI in Pakistan! The stadium is all in ruins, outfield hardly has any grass. People are standing and watching from the sidelines wearing the Pakistani National dress - kurta pyjamas .

Rohit Sharma is holding one end . Gill goes first - 10/1. Kohli next plays a fast cameo and gets out to a spinner - 35/2 . KL is India’s #4 , plays slowly builds a partnership with Rohit. Both get to 50s and KL gets out trying force pace . India is in spot of bother - 120/3.  Hardik is somehow playing in a ODI at #5. A small partnership ship is built till 136/4 and he gets out too.

A new mystery spinner is in Pak team. A Pakistani Hindu named Rabindrasingh Jain. Yes, a Pakistani Jain! Hey gets the wicket of Rohit , first ball C&B . Rest of the team unknown new faces collapse. India is all out losing 136/4 to 136 all out!! All of last 5 wickets goes to Jain. Jain is a poor street sweeper as well is shown sweeping streets !!  :giggle:

One of the wickets is caught behind which the Pakistani team review. No Babar in the team, they have a new captain. The DRS is so funny, there is a spike when bat is swung , the spike is seen in a small box in the screen and next to it , it lights green and the batsman is declared out!

During the break, Rohit and Hardik go to a cricket store to buy leather balls for the match. Pak insist on buying your own cricket balls. The store gives out blue and grey colored cricket balls. Rohit tells Hardik, “Tu aaj bowling mat kar”. Hardik doesn’t bowl and pak win by 7 wickets. There are still 2 more matches in the series and I woke up thinking we can still win the series!!!

Swear to god, this is not made up, still thinking about the dream makes me smile!! :rotfl:

Are you tired of endless days glued to the screen, watching balls whizz by, and wickets tumble? Do you find yourself losing sleep over that last over? Well, I’ve got great news!

Ever since cricket took a little break, my life has transformed! Imagine a world where I suddenly have time for those things I’d forgotten existed—like family dinners, social outings, and even reading a book (that’s not a cricket autobiography, mind you).

Now, I’ve rediscovered hobbies that don’t involve cheering at the TV.

My productivity has skyrocketed, my stress levels have dropped, and I even found time to start that DIY project that’s been gathering dust since the 2023 ODI world cup.

And guess what? You can experience this too! Just let go and embrace the cricket-free lifestyle today. But hurry, before the next series begins.
One life lets live it up.

dude what I learnt from the break is we need to ease a bit of watching too many sports. This year was full of sports like you mentioned. My suggestion is to follow less and focus more on your life. I gained a few kilos this year from work pressure, inactivity. I'm trying to correct that by exercising again.

USO happens at odd times. I can't watch them in the middle of the night. Lets forget about work for the moment. Its not good for health to be waking up at odd times. I'll think about watching the SFs and F if the main players make it. Alcaraz, Djokovic, Sinner, Zverev, etc.  I sometimes even miss when India plays. Its too hard for me to watch pak in sa :stoned:

USO I usually watch from QF/SF onwards or when my favorite player has a tricky match in earlier rounds. Last few years haven't sacrificed on sleep, go to sleep by 7 and wake up at 1:30-2 am.

Wasn't the case in school, college when I used to stay up almost whole night.

Have learnt to respect/value sleep as I have grown older. More important than diet, meditation and exercise IMO.
