England beating pulp out of hapless unpaid Lankans. How is that quality test cricket ?

Hapless Lankans did beat the pulp out of Indian in the ODI series recently. What does money have to do with talent?

If that were the case, India would be winning everything in Cricket.

SL had no choice. None of their frontline pacers hv recovered from injury.

That is sad. Even though they got few wickets now, I don't know if they can keep this up..Their spinners look awful also.

Unpopular opinion but Sri Lanka and Pakistan compete better in England than India

SL it is myth but Pakistan you are correct, they have  won and  drawn even five test series.SL play only two test series for most part.So if they get one draw , it looks like they have competed well.

Not since the GOAT Asian captain came to party.

Kohli was leading by 2-1 the last time he toured England.

All Hail !

Still remember the Oval match where his leadership won us the match.

Jayasurya has been superb.  20 overs 50/2 on a day 2 english wicket which is not conducive to spin.

It was reversing after 35 plus overs. So pitch is quite abrasive.Bashir took 3 wickets on first day.

Without Stokes we have to see how England plays. He gave.them a mental edge. This team looks more like.pre-stokes captaincy  where they play conservatively and perish. Absence of Stokes means their tail becomes longer. No crawley either

Mark Wood to Chandimal, no run, 143kph, short and quick on off, sharp bounce as Chandimal gets hit on the thumb. He immediately calls for the physio. It looks like Chandimal's index finger and thumb are in pain. We have a slight delay as the batter is having a chat with the physio. His thumb is slowly swelling and the batsman is walking off the field. Hopefully that isn't a serious injury. Wood's pace and bounce can be brutal at times. The batsman is retired hurt and walking back to the pavilion as the Sri Lankan captain enters the field

Wood injures Chandimal, retired hurt.
