He is world no.10th ranked spinner in ICC ranking. Among the spinners only Ashwin/Jadeja/Lyon are ahead of him in the top 10.

Jayasuriya is a very good spinner.   I liked Jayawickrama more but he turned out to be a fixer.

Wellalage was tried vs Eng at home along with Theekshana I guess he didn't do that well.  Though he was straight Outta U19 WC back then.

Srilanka is traditionally a strategy team. They rely a lot on it. Oflate they have been brainless.  Lost a lot of winnable matches. Like they did against Pakistan in world cup after scoring mammoth 300 plus. Then lost to Bangladesh who are not as good as Srilanka in white ball.

This Asitha is a limited bowler. But works well within his limitation. There is definite variable bounce. He just has to maintain a channel which he does.

They keep churning out good spinners who disappear after a while.
