Finger spinners got so much purchase as against zampa who went for 51 runs in 4 overs.  Adil Rashid's cameo probably put them in a decent position. Finger spinners are the way to go on this pitch.

Potts gives an idea of how to bowl to Head. Every ball targetting middle stump at an angle giving him zero room. He is too uncomfortable against that line.

Here Potts was time wasting for rain by changing shoes. Ponting immediately drew a parallel with RIshab pant's delay in WT20 final which led to Klassen's dismissal

The fear of failure is what Indian team needs to get rid off in big matches. They have become too timid in those big matches.

 

Win or lose Aussies are playing without any fear.

Aussies clearly the best ODI team in the world even  though their bowling is not the best

Aus win by DL.  Clearly they were the better team today.  They win the series 3-2.    I was expecting Aus to win 4-1 or 5-0.

They have more versatile players

 

Marsh can bowl and bat

Head can bowl and bat

Short can bowl and bat

Maxwell can bowl and bat

Stoinis can bowl and bat

 

That gives you sort of 10 players.

 

It allows them to pick a side that is suitable for any surface

It's white ball cricket. They need to sort the batting out first. 

 

You can still win with average bowling attacks like India did in 2011.
