Tourism factor probably also Galle is somewhat difficult for SENA sides.

They hosted One Pak test in Colombo and BD in Pallekele

2 international stadiums in Colombo and it is the capital.

Galle is a very picturesque ground mind, but still i'm seeing since 2021 they are only playing tests there.

I only remember 3 tests since Covid in SL outside of Galle.

Vs Pak in Colombo (SSC)

2 tests vs BD in Kandy

If SL wins 1 test in SA and clean sweeps Australia at home.

And India somehow wins or draws BGT with Australia.

It will be a India vs SL final at Lords.

SL tour of SA will be played in Durban and Port Elizabeth yet again where Lankans created history back in 2020.

Current form they can Nick a test or even a series against Saffers

I can see SL winning a Test in SA but clean sweeping OZ at home looks tough.

Also, if we draw a 5 Test series in OZ, we should be confident of beating anyone in the final to be honest.

At Lords tbh facing Australians will be a daunting task.  They have a near stellar record in Lords.

If we win BGT but lose the final to Aussies won't be a bad thing.

I think Aus would gladly take that as well winning BGT +SL even if they lose final.

SL has definitely emerged as a wild card to watch out.  Their batting line up sure is extremely talented on paper.  Perfect mix of youth and experience.

They are an improved side for sure. I really do hope they can win a Test in SA and whitewash OZ.

Watched the day1 highlights just now. Daryll Mitchel created a new world record today.  By dropping 5 easy catches in the slip in a span of 1 hr.   Overall NZ dropped 6 catches today.  Well Done Kiwis :phehe:

Won't be surprised if we get to see a SL vs Aus WTC final this time.   I m saying this based on the result of Ind vs Ban 2nd test which is a potential washout.  Ind likely to lose crucial points.  And don't see Ind winning more than 1 test downunder as our top order is sh!t (except jaiswal).

Even Chandimal at least is home bullying & found a second upswing... Dude uses reverse sweeps, slog sweeps and depth of the crease against spin.  Clutch match winning ton against Australia then vs Pak & decent showing in Eng + this ton.

Chokli lacks all these qualities & his failure to reinvent himself has led his downfall.

No amount of vegan diet can magically stop your reflexes from going slow or alter your friggin DNA.

Yea Chandis 42 avg for a team that has been in transition/struggling for some time now is pretty good. Even if many of them might have been at home. Their battng looks deep and solid now.
