New Zealand tour of Srilanka, 2 tests, discussion, 18th September - 30th September

SL winning a test in RSA, being in WTC race till the end (Aussies tour Lanka for 2 tests in Feb I believe), will be wonderful for this format. Even RSA. But SL vs RSA series will potentially knock out one of them from the race.

whats the advantage of finishing first ? many times previous winner wont even make it to top 2.

Anything better than this farce of Eng being perennial hosts. We aren't living in colonial era, England is an overrated country.

After a long time I m able to witness a team enforcing the follow on.  Reminds me of the 90s when this used to be a frequent affair.

Not often that you get 500+ runs first innings lead.

And Latham departs, NZ 0/1 :hysterical:

Sri Lanka all set to climb to no.3 in the WTC table. They messed up big time by getting swept 2-0 at home by mediocre Pakistan early in the cycle. They would have a had a great chance to make the final had they won that series.

Race for the final is much more interesting this time around. Atleast 5 teams (India, Australia, Sri Lanka, South Africa, England) have realistic chance of making it there. Heck even Pakistan still has an outside chance if they sweep England and south africa somehow.
