Gollum Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 How much test cricket do Poms play? In 2022 they toured Pak for 3 tests, once again now. Root, Anderson, Broad the biggest beneficiaries where they get to statpad against minnows ever so often. Kohli, Rohit, Ash, Jaddu, Shami too are in mid 30s and have missed out on so many records, despite being no less than these English greats. Manucrick 1

I understand that Eng tour of Windies is massive for local economy of Islands & thousands of English supporters go there. But they do play NZ a lot even outside of WTC. Then there would be one off tests vs Ireland on regular basis & next year before India series they will play 4 day test vs Zimbabwe after 2 decades (I guess) Root can easily go past SRT by playing well below the level he is currently playing. Ultimate_Game Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 Is England in contention for WTC final spot? If yes, I would like to see Pak beat them so India's chances of making it into WTC final increases. Else, don't really care and would prefer Pak entertaining us with their humorous brand of cricket by unleashing a pace battery which struggles to breach 130kph mark, spinners like Shadab Khan who can't land the ball on length, and specialist batsmen averaging in 20s

We can definitely enjoy them spanking our nalayak sons. Ultimate_Game, Tillu and Lone Wolf 3
Gollum Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 Belt and Road Initiative series, nice title @Tillu Tillu 1

Norman Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 All jokes aside, I think we are being way too overconfident of Poms smacking Poyzz this time around. I feel this series is going to be much closer than most of us think and won't be surprised at all if Pak ties 1-1 or even win 2-1.
jigjig Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 Guys, this will be a tight series. Pakistan have a good chance

Frustrated Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 This Eng bowling attack looks very weak & inexperienced. Pooks hv a golden chance of winning the series.
Chaos Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 This would be soo boring. England will score at 6+ rpo.

India played Aus away in 2018 and then again 2020 without a home series in between.. india again played saf away in 2022 ( series loss still hurts) and again in 2024 without a home series in between. India played nz at home in 2022 ( iyer debut) and are playing against them again in 2024 without any away series in between. So yeah it is indeed a bit lopsided. Only against poms we always play one away and one home.. ECB honchos plans everything 4 years in advance.. Gollum and Norman 2

Proper spinner. Shaheen and Naseem did not play second test. Jamal is a tested player in Aus. Looks a much better squad.
