Not gonna happen. Rohit and Kohli are untouchables. A much likelier possibility is Gambhir goes Gary Kirsten with Pak way.

Yes BCCI and selectors need to kick them out, but we saw what Dhoni did, didn't he get Sehwag, Gambhir slowly removed from the team, the coach here definitely has enough power to do that and if he doesn't then there was no need for Gambhir to accept this position. 

Basically, its not the responsibility of players to quit here, they won't and there's nothing wrong in that, BCCI needs to show some power here instead of milking the two superstars.

 

Yup, it's the fault of BCCI and selectors for not doing their job. No competent board will have the head of their board nominate the captain, and not the selectors the way Jay Shah did.

The seniors don't play any domestic cricket (Ranji or the recent Duleep trophy), take regular breaks - Kohli sat out the entire Eng tour, took break before IPL, took a break after IPL even missing the WT20 warm ups and generally just flies in to play intl cricket straight away without even so much as a practice game.

 

I'm all for Kohli and Rohit taking a permanent break. They're both done and add no value to the team.

This should be last test cycle for Roko..I have admired for what they have done for Indian Cricket..but we need to move on..there will be lot of hiccups as we go through the transition..we just need to support the newer generation..during this process..

and yes..NCA do your job properly..we want pacemen to be fit..to assist new batting lineup..with good bowling cushion..

Harshit was unavailable for 2nd test, now that he is we might see him in 3rd.
