Ashwin also must retire. He is the shadow of himself and this is at home conditions.

Let Kuldeep, Sundar and Jadeja till he is there take the mantle.

Jadeja also has only 1-2 years of cricket left.

Sai Kishore and Axar should be brought in soon.

Sai and Washi should be set up to do what Jadeja and Ash have done over the years.. Spinners who can bat

Virat Kohli has already done enough to be remembered as one of the batting greats from India.

Financially, he has ensure none of his next generations need to work.

He is 36.

Motivation is gone and I don't blame him.

He will definitely not remembered as a test great, there are at least 10-15 ahead of him and next generation like Jaiswal, Pant etc will also leave him behind

Kohli doesn't seem to understand that international cricket requires sacrifice.

Last time after the first child was born Kohli had a long slump. He was missing series after series to be with the famiy.

Now after the second child he is flying off to London after every series.

This is not how the game is played.

He wants to give importance to his family. Its fine. Leave the national team then.

Hey he did sacrifice extra time with family by rushing to join his IPL team camp early last year.

Defenders of this chutiya mentality wont get this.

Even Rohit with his family planning decided to make sure his child is born during the BGT series.. i mean they have every right to have families as they are playing for a private organisation not for India.

1. Indian fans need to stop obsessing over cricket and players

2. Players should be told to retire by BCCI once they are 30 so they can focus in child rearing and family planning. You cant mix family and professional sports in this way that every important series youre missing just to change diapers.

30 is the peak of most players my dude, what are you talking about?

Fierce competition going on :nervous:

First choice 'None' followed by fatso Rohit. I can still imagine Rohit slogging and getting  a quick 20 before getting out. But Kohli scoring 8 runs when the ball is turning is not likely to happen.

Final tally was Rohit - 91 and Kohli - 93

The seniors couldn't even muster 100 runs each despite all that "experience"

Kohli scored 70 in one innings , could only manage 23 in the other 5. Rohit on the other hand sucked in all innings.

Rohit was consistent with his 10-15 runs an innings and Kohli had a "peak" scoring 70 followed by single digit scores. Kohli also gets the blame for running out our best batsman Pant in the previous Test, while Rohit gets the blame for standing in the slips masquerading as a "fielder" while missing 3-4 catches and bending down when the ball was already halfway to the boundary.

So their actual performances were a lot worse than the tally of their scores. It was worse than playing with 9 players coz at least when you play with 9 players, you don't have those players undermine your own team.

Let say Rohit-kolhi are rested/dropped after bgt who are their replacements??

Sai sudharshan looks good, opener ....??-- rutu/Easwaran ??

Thnk Ind need a more assured batter at no.3 as well -- there are too many weaknesses in Gills game be it fast bowling or spin

Any replacement will be better than walking wkts Rohit and Kohli.

Rohit had one 51 in Bengaluru second innings where Kohli scored 70. And still both couldn't score 100 runs in this series.

We will have to do trial and error. First Try domestic batsmen averaging 50 or more.

I know the internet is out for Kohli s blood right now but if you carefully process the events of Wankhede , you will have nothing but respect for Kohli. Matt Henry Grew up in NZ which is a clean country with pure environment and thus he has fully functioning lungs. Kohli grew up in Delhi and Delhi pollution has already damaged his lungs . The ball was hit at 19.9 m/s and Henry was only 30m away from ball. It's scientifically impossible for Kohli to complete the run. But still he challenged Henry for the run because that's what he has always done. Challenge the best and come out at top. Only today the selfish nature of Bombay lobby ground deserted him and he was left alone fighting against NZ, BOMBAY LOBBY & THIRD UMPIRE . That run out will sting but the unselfish nature Kohli showed for his team today has strengthened my support for him and he has only come out bigger in today's battle despite losing his wicket
