This is what Umesh and Shami provided during the 2013 to 2019 period. Akashdeep is skiddy. But not bowling quickly after he had dengue. And his ability to reverse the ball was never that good. The other pacers we brought in after Umesh declined were neither quick nor great exponents of reverse swing. If we wany to find the new Umesh or new Shami then we need to find new pacers who are ... a) skiddy. b) quick in the air c) good at reverse swing Umran Malik could be groomed for this role and taught reverse swing. Need to look out for other skiidy quick pacers in the domestic circuit. Outside Asia we need bouncy quick pacers. Harshit Rana, Mayank Yadav and Kuldeep Sen would be ideal. Prasidh could have been if his attitude was right, but sadly it isn't. So this base is decently covered for the time being. Need one more such pacer if Mayank remains injury prone. Most of the fast pacers which we are getting these days are bouncy Harshit, Himanshu, Mayank, Simarjeet, Kuldeep Sen, Yudhvir, Gurnoor, Hangargekar, Bawa, Tyagi, Prithviraj all are bouncy and hit the deck. We aren't producing many skiddy pacers, all are trundlers. Mavi was skiddy but he has lost his pace permanently...Except Umran, I think only Purnank Tyagi is the only one left who is skiddy and has decentish pace (around 135-140 clicks). express bowling 1

Tall, bouncy, hit the deck pacers who can bowl 140 k+, like Harshit, Mayank, Sen, Tyagi, Prasidh, Gurnoor, Yudhvir, Mohsin, Hangargekar etc. will hold us in good stead in tests outside Asia and ODIs everywhere. What is worrying is that not a single one of the above have become regulars yet. 1 hour ago, singhvivek141 said: We aren't producing many skiddy pacers, all are trundlers. AKane Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 (edited) Look at this with Hangargekar - perpetually on the bench and not playing. How is this going to help him? As it is he is usually just a reserve in Chennai due to the Thala approved policies of required age. https://daijiworld.com/news/newsDisplay?newsID=1234154 He signed off by saying batter Rahul Tripathi is unavailable due to a lower back issue, while fast-bowling all-rounder Rajvardhan Hangargekar is still in the mix to play in the Ranji Trophy. "Rahul is struggling because he has a little bit of problem with his lower back and needs a break. It will take time for him to heal." "On the other hand, we have kept Rajvardhan in a tentative role. He is a part of the team. But it depends on the situation. If he is playing in the eleven, then he will play for the senior team. If he is not playing, then it is better for him to play for the U23 team. But he’s still a part of the team. His form is still good, and will continue to benefit Maharashtra." Tentative role? Please...... Edited October 27, 2024 by AKane

Last update on his insta is of 29th May where he uploaded a slow mo from some local nets. I don't think he is serious about cricket, those who are, they have switched states and are leaving no opportunity to play the game. Let's see what Raj does. Akashdeep can up his pace to some extent, reverse has to be seen. He is primarly a new ball bowler and a steady operator with old ball. Though he is criminally underutilized by our kaptaan sahab. express bowling 1
mani sha Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 U are missing the point . no unesh , Shami will win u matches if u get 46 all out or get out to full toss like kohli . Our batting was the issue . kohli , rahul and even rohit are walking ducks. Jadeja , ashwin and pant saved us defeats last 3 years coupled with Axar and jurel etc . The bowlers - new ones like harshit , akash , siraj etc are ok . Shami , Umesh , Ishant and bumrah was a once in a generation pace quartet . Hard to find Umesh and Shami tbh but it’s unclear why kohli and rahul are still selected for Australia . Anticipate loss in Australia and end of Rohit and kohli singhvivek141 1

We have weaknesses at both fronts, in batting as well as in bowling. Our bowling is paper thin, for the loss of 2 quicks (Umesh and Ishant) we have so far only got one pacer (Siraj). Mosher 1

rkt.india Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 Vasudev Bareth from Chhattisgarh can be next Umesh. Similar height and build. He is quick. 21 year old, has played 8 FC games with 26 wickets. Mosher, Need4Speed, Vicks57 and 1 other 4

Have patience . They change bowlers faster than batters . It should be other way round . Our losses are mainly from lack of batting . None of our players batting pant and jaiswal are world top 10 imo. Persistence with kohli is 90 percent of the issue. express bowling 1

Noone is saying batsmen aren't responsible, that is a reason which is obvious and a given, but need to focus on declining fast bowling particularly as well not just limited to selections but their availability as well Why are they getting injured so often? Why is NCA failing? Apart from just focusing on profits bcci needs to look at it Mosher, singhvivek141 and express bowling 3

Body matures and then u get the best out of them . Bcci has been rotating them ok . They lapsed in getting Mukesh etc in when they needed to groom faster guys .

Mukesh didn't have pace ever to begin with, he is a 125-135 kph bowler since ages, can clock few 140+ deliveries with extra effort. But he can't sustain it and will end up injuring himself. Not to mention he is 31 on paper, and may be 33-34 in reality (it's common in Bihar to fudge age by 2-3 years). One injury and he will go back to bowling 125kph. On top is an atrocious fielder and dud with bat. Edited October 28, 2024 by singhvivek141 express bowling, Sgattick10 and Mosher 3

Mukesh did well with new ball under cloudy conditions, but when the ball lost shine and sun was shining at it's peak, he was gun barrell straight at 125-130k, he was accurate though. https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/irani-cup-2022-23-1332469/saurashtra-vs-rest-of-india-1332470/full-scorecard Age fudging was very common in Bihar till 00's. Only way to get them is through bone test which they do at the last stage of trial and even that is not 100% accurate. Actual u16 will be no match for 18-19 year olds. So most of them dont even reach at the stage of bone test. tapandrun 1

As more and more kids are being born at the hospitals, the birth registration is being done by the hospital on first day itself. So usually a birth certificate is given by municipal authority. It's only in the villages now, where folks will give some money to the sarpanch and get a new certificate created.
