Kohli didn't play any meaningful T20I cricket between World T20 2022 SF and the 2024 World T20 and we saw how that turned out. 

 

 

Chill man. Enjoy the series. At least we will be competitive there. Honestly, the only format I like watching these days is T20 because both oldies are not playing that. It is so refreshing to watch our young team scale new record after new record with their fearless play in T20s these days, which was impossible in Rohit-Kohli era.

Oh absolutely. We have a team that can bully opposition. Abhishek,Samson,Tilak,SKY,Rinku.I hope they fit in Ashutosh somehow.

BTW, Rohit now tops the list of visiting captains having a poor batting average in Aus during a series.

 

Rohit's Average - 6.20

Walsh's average in 1997 - 7.35

Problem is, we have a CT after this and these guys will waltz into the team without any match practice or playing with the rest of the team.

 

And the youngsters who actually do well in this series, will be dropped.

going undercooked or overcooked into a premier trophy has almost always backfired on us

They're tired after dragging the team for two series so need a "break" to recharge their energy. Even if they play the Eng series it's not gonna make a difference. They're both done and will cost us CT as well.

as seniors, I would want them to play domestic cricket and set an example to others. But that will remain a wishlist as NRI will hardly set foot in India except for IPL & international matches

That's Indian cricket for you. Useless "King" Kohli and "Hitman" Rohit will be back to screw us in another ICC tourney and someone like Nitish Reddy will miss out. They can neither bat, bowl, field or even captain the team and yet are there to hog the prime batting spots in the team.
