They haven't played any meaningful ODI cricket since the World Cup Kohli didn't play any meaningful T20I cricket between World T20 2022 SF and the 2024 World T20 and we saw how that turned out. Chill man. Enjoy the series. At least we will be competitive there. Honestly, the only format I like watching these days is T20 because both oldies are not playing that. It is so refreshing to watch our young team scale new record after new record with their fearless play in T20s these days, which was impossible in Rohit-Kohli era. We have a team that can bully opposition. Abhishek,Samson,Tilak,SKY,Rinku.I hope they fit in Ashutosh somehow.
nitinbwj Posted January 1, 2025 Posted January 1, 2025 (edited) BTW, Rohit now tops the list of visiting captains having a poor batting average in Aus during a series. Problem is, we have a CT after this and these guys will waltz into the team without any match practice or playing with the rest of the team. And the youngsters who actually do well in this series, will be dropped. Ultimate_Game 1

I don't mind them not being there. Hope the youngsters do so well that it becomes difficult to bring them back

Adamant Posted January 2, 2025 Posted January 2, 2025 These idiots are missing ODI series vs England too ? I am quite sure Gambhir will pull them by their hair and force them to play just like he did in the series vs SRL. If you don't have time for regular cricket anymore then why not just leave FGS !!. Champions trophy is a big tournament, you can't waltz into it without any sort of match practice. Lord 1

Even if they play the Eng series it's not gonna make a difference. They're both done and will cost us CT as well.

diga Posted January 3, 2025 Posted January 3, 2025 as seniors, I would want them to play domestic cricket and set an example to others. But that will remain a wishlist as NRI will hardly set foot in India except for IPL & international matches

Frustrated Posted January 3, 2025 Posted January 3, 2025 LMAO!! Chokli scored only 17 after having played 69 balls & registered 0 boundaries. Maybe he was trying to emulate Pujara. I would hv loved to see Aus bowlers breaking few of his bones.

Useless "King" Kohli and "Hitman" Rohit will be back to screw us in another ICC tourney and someone like Nitish Reddy will miss out. They can neither bat, bowl, field or even captain the team and yet are there to hog the prime batting spots in the team.
