Rohit and kohli were just into international and we had just our other seniors retire. It was a planned transition period.

 

Both kohli and rohit swear playing other side of him is what made them easy into international and they learned a lot which they never learned before.

 

Meanwhile Lara and Sanga retired for their peak personal stats and both their teams batting collapsed and have still not completely recovered.

 

I do not recall Tendulkar looking a tailender in multiple matches towards the end of his career. Kohli sure looked like that in many matches.

Kohlis focus in life post 2020 has been child rearing- i mean everyone has a right to family life but you cant hog spots in the team based on past performances if youre not as serious about the game as you were. Thats why i suggest a cut off age where people are automatically retired by BCCI so they can fulfill their family obligations without screwing up the team balance and results by willy nilly missing important series.

 

These are millionaires- bacche pal jaate hain apne aap agar paisa hai but thats fine if youw ant to be that involved in their growing up but dont screw the national team based on your life choices.
