If we have to play him, we should either in the pink ball test or Melbourne. These are the only 2 venues where I see him being remotely successful.

Yup that's wishful thinking on my part, India hardly opts for the horses for courses approach. They will probably play him in one of the venues and basis his performance will decide if he is to be continued with further.

my mistake about vyshak ...it was IPL, i am a human being , memory did not serve me well.

 

but bro mukesh's Pace wont matter much to australian first 5 to 6 batsman , yes tail enders can definitely gift wickets. i appreciate Mukesh's performance today ( i did not watch it) but his pace is low for higher order batsman, Prasidh got the op batsman and most of mukesh's wickets were tailenders.

Prasidh has to improve a lot for sure but he has scope. under 133k bowling without swing  is easy peasy for good batsman.

Australian have no issue dealing with 145 kph bowlers either if they are not good enough. The likes of Umesh Yadav found that out very early.

Mukesh ahs done the hard yards in FC, has great record so deserves his chance. What has SIRAJ done??? Atleast in helpful conditions Mukesh will be 10 times better than spray guns like SIRAJ

I feel transition period is fast approaching in Indian Cricket. We will soon have a team of large young players across formats and it is good even if they fail and learn. We may have few years of mid table performances and then we will see what happens. This Aus and Eng tour later on will probably phase out old hands fully.
