If I could, I would bring in Sai Sudarshan and Rinku in the team for Aus. Both are lefties and in Rinku's case has shown he can handle adversity.

 

I wish we had selectors who had an eye for talent and make left field picks. Currently a bot could pick the teams the way they do.

Its nt a proper tournament, its was/is for old retired/washed out aging players to make some quick mney in 4-5 days and do some free shopping. Noting else.

It was/is like a fun trip for these player and the organizers would get 1/2 current players for good mny .

 

not sure why pcb is sending their current players. pak team had 7 intnl capped players in Acc emerging asia cup too.

and there were re-runs of these matches when the boradcaster had nothing to show or during the rain, audiences too are frnd and fmly of same organizers

I know..hence didnt create a separate thread..still wed ont find any decent old domestic bowler or AR from our system

anyways...as far as Pakistani are concerned..they depserately want to win against India..anywwhere,..anyhow..hence sending bulk of capped players in any street and alley tournament..

eswaran has a good defensive technique and sudharshan is hitting a century tommorow against australia A so he would be confident , his technique looks SOLID against pacers under 140k for sure , cant be sure that he can handle cummins, starc and hazelwood but it is a 50-50 chance that both of these can handle the fast bowlers and score 30- 40 runs. 

rohit is a gamble now a days , he wishes to attack and score his quick bunch of 20 to 50 runs and get out. kohli's seems to be having some batting issue's against spinners and fast bowlers , he gets out in slips.

seeing sai's batting i feel gautam may wish to pull him into the final squad. i wont be surprised if he gets into the 11 for first test too.

Saw a bit of highlights. Eswaran is a secure batsman. plays bat/pad close together. Should have played this NZ series. He has this very low backlift bit like how Gauti plays overseas.  But he was going for quiet a few risky singles

Damn Sai Sudarshan is such a pure joy to watch with full of classy off side strokes. Would love to see him In India colors to see how he goes. Has a well balanced game.

prasidh 4 overs 8 runs and created few opportunities.

saini looking speedy and dangerous. got one batsman caught in SLIPS but umpire called it a no ball. 

He hit the batsman on his shoulders. today he is looking a different SAINI.

suthar bowling well. Mukesh kumar got 1 wicket with the new ball.

india A all out on 312 and sai got out at 103 adding 5 runs and paddikkal out at 88 adding 8 runs , saini scored 18 not out and ishan scored 32. aus A has to score around 195 and have scored 60 for 1..

We can keep abusing Mukesh but he gets the job done.  Of course he is a limited  bowler but we have to get what we have. Test bowling involves being on the spot for extended periods and he is very good at that. Hopefully we see Khaleel and Harshit in action. Ideally one of them should have been in place of Saini who looks past his best

Saini has been really poor with the ball. 110-3 224 to chase, need a few more wickets from spinners if we have to win this. Otherwise a decent performance from the team after being shot for just above 100 runs first day.

He gets the job done among other bowlers who are as bad as him. The whole gripe is that there are better bowlers who are not given a chance in such tours at all

 

And no, this is not "what we have", we have way better potential bowler

why cant prasidh push himself and get to do some bowling instead of manav. manav is getting no support from pitch.

 

prasidh has looked much faster and getting bounce , mukesh is looking under 130k - very slow...not even medium pace ( around 130 to 135)

even saini is looking dangerous but not getting wickets.
