Maybe they'll wait to assemble the squad and then pick their captain. I was thinking MI will release Rohit and KKR might pick him Link to comment

They have filled their quota of capped retentions. They can only RTM an uncapped player Pant will be the most expensive keeper buy. No way KKR can afford him. Pant will go to one of PBKS or RCB. Jitesh will be in the auction as well. Hard to say which team will go aggressively for him. Link to comment

Kavya went overboard imo. She can use him for different work as you said he is a beast from Africa!! Link to comment

Hard to say which team will go aggressively for him. If MI cannot use RTM, Kishan has a chance of ending up with GT too which tried to pick it earlier unless GT is done with flip-flopping remote controlled MI players. MI is not going to overpay for Kishan this time unless it has not learned a lesson. I just saw the auction budgets, PK and RCB have 110+ and 80+ respectively. They are known to do something stupid so won’t be surprised if they try to outbid each other to dent their purse Also will be interesting to see how Nehraji builds the team. A couple of good left arm pacers are likely to end up at GT (PS hopefully, not Khaleel). Edited November 1 by zen Link to comment
Nikhil_cric
RR, KKR and , surprisingly, Delhi Capitals have made the best retentions imo. Kohli at 21 crore and Jadeja at 18 ? Talk about misplaced priorities Link to comment

Yeah that was a bit of a surprise. RR do develop players better than most though. Suspect Sanju will play as a pure batter and Jurel will keep to justify that price tag. Limited sample but Jurel can play when the ball is turning big in red ball cricket and though he doesn't have the raw numbers in T20 cricket , RR may be looking at him as a specialist spinner hitter through the middle. Talk about misplaced priorities RCB also despite Kohli's retention. They go into the auction with the second biggest. Splurging on Kohli was expected as he brings the most brand value to them. Yash at 5 crore is decent. Mariyam 1 Link to comment

They could have either let that spot unfilled or retained Buttler at that price Link to comment

He's not the player he was a couple of years ago and didn't stand out with even quite a few Indian batsmen outperforming him last season alone. Link to comment

We don't know what happens in auction with just 41 cr, they need to buy all bowlers. Link to comment

Maybe they saw something in his CPL performance this year. They might have only 1 or 2 established bowlers in mind for the auction Link to comment
