This is priceless, all major networks are running self-help segments advising people how to cope with the election loss. They are advising to reach out to people, talk to them and don’t leave them alone. They have turned a nanny state to a pussy state. After all the lies they spread and made people believe that Kamala will win a landslide on women vote , now want people to cope. It’s getting ridiculous. I have to move out of US to Alaska!

Alaska is in US, no? :hmmm:

Amazing scenes. Can feel the pain in his voice. Thank you Trump.

Now this is how it is done unlike Kimmel or Colbert RR.. “He got every demographic, the exit polls said, he grabbed 55% of white women! He also got their vote!”” :hysterical:

Classic!
Professors at Columbia/Harvard cancelled the classes today so students can cope with the election results . Did you too or give them a pop quiz?

Someone asked me "How are you going to handle talking to students about election results?"

My answer: "That is not my job. My job is to cover Biochemistry content, and that is what I am going to do."

One interesting observation about America. Even that has been turned into a pursuit. Nobody actually talks about happiness. Country has highest per capita psychiatric medicine consumption, highest per capita counselling needs, increasing suicide rates, serious opioid crisis.

It's a great country to pursue things. But not everything is about pursuit. Among the most psychologically damaged anxiety ridden people I have met have been Americans.

This is not about having less. This is about excess. Human mind can take only so much stimulation. Peak exclusivity and individualism has also led to hedonism. Insular society that's confident. That grows up thinking that it knows best.

Either party comes to power, this trend is not improving.

Because captialism brings inequality.  Vast majority live paycheck by paycheck.  One natural disaster , one hospital visit away from going bankrupt.  Anytime anyone talks about the danger of this divide they are branded as socialist and cast aside by both parties. Expensive colleges. Expensive medicine. Sure you can earn a lot if you are talented.  50 years from now this divide will be even more stark. That is why average happiness index is low in  USA compared to lot of other developed countries.  Canada is 8 points above USA

I doubt he meant about the have-nots. The increasing dependence on psychiatric medicine consumption, highest per capita counselling needs, increasingsuicide rates are among thiose who are  well-off. I think that is something to do with people being lonely, not believing in family/marriage values, date/shackling up/breaking-up culture. The high society life

Your Prakash Raj ( Prakash Rai ) promised that he will move out of India if Modi comes back again

Same with UR Anantmurthy and he died within 6 months of 2014 election. Ironic that his words of moving out turned out to be prophetic

PS: For people who havent heard of him, he is a kannada writer who won Jnanpeetha, married a christian and boycotted his birth caste of Brahminism and after his death, his son performed final rituals according to true Brahminical traditions. How do I know this ? He was from Teerthahalli where my uncle was his neighbour

His famous novel - Samskara was about Brahminical rituals around last rites and blind traditions.  Apparently , it was his last wish that he be cremated with all the rituals . Same goes to Karanunidhi whose funeral was performed with all Hindu rituals and beliefs.

There is nothing “our” about him . We disowned him the day he changed his last name from Rai to Raj for wider acceptance . We have exported him out as a Telugu speaking Tamilian politician  like EVR :giggle: Bhikari will go nowhere , living like a dog in India and will die here like a pig.
