We needed backups / replacements for aging Shami and Ashwin and we have it now in the form of Harshit and Washington.

Gambhir’s coaching hasn’t impressed me.

Gautam Gambhir lost odi series to SL 

 

got white washed at home vs Nzl

 

now on the flip side

 

won a test match at Perth and some

other series like Bangla series and T20 vs SL.

 

conclusion: is Indian team and talent is too good and can pull of wins from nowhere with or without a coach and so far haven’t seen anything out of the ordinary. 
 

We lost series vs SL (Odis) and white wash vs Nzl which shouldn’t have happended so he will have that stigma. If he manages to win 5-0 in Australia will look at him differently.

SL ODI series loss is still ok but whitewash against NZ at home is a big black bloat.
BGT series win can be his redemption. Anything less than that, will not be forgiven for that NZ debacle.
