They don't need perform in one odd Ranji  match. Kohli on his last legs is still 1000 times better than Karun Nair ever was.or Sai ever will be.

 

He could have scored 500 plus runs easily on this tour.

 

Bowling has been very easy and pitches very flat.

 

If guy like Rahul can score 500 even Rohit would have scored 500 plus runs easily too.

 

Last five years with Kohli on terminal decline.He still did better than Rahul,

 

Other than Root, Pant and Head no other opposition player did that better than him either.Guy like Steve Smith averaged 36 to Kohli's 32.

KL performed in Aus too. Rohit scored 30 in 5 innings. KL is actually better Test bat than Rohit.

So what Kohli scored 100 there too.Overall in last five year even in his decline he did better than Rahul in their matches together.

 

 

Kohli's time was done and he was rightly sent out.But this notion that he and Rohit were somehow hindering the team while guys like Gill and Rahul were helping the team is ridiculous. Gambhir needs to get somehow credit for them going out of the team.

 

Gambhir is first rate moron who never should have become the coach.
