That's the biggest W probably...  No political leader has won in US in any capacity going against Israel so openly.

 

Jewish Lobby in US probably took a first L in their history.  Let them support Pakistanis their new adopted sons.

Dems will keep their mouth shut. He has energized their party. He is the mirror opposite of JD Vance. Says something different to each person. Just like Kejriwal. DJT will be thrilled too. He can rally his base around this as well.

dont know the American legal system so I dont know if Trump can just issue new tariffs. But if not, and they are scrapped then I think India has done well simply by biding time. I feel though this saga has a long way to go.

Re the election results in the USA

 

The blunt truth is I doubt the Americans give a **** about Ukraine or peace in Gaza or India not reaching a deal. Inflation is still relatively elevated (above 2%), and apart from AI data centres, which employ few but drag up the GDP the USA is in a jobs recession with unemployment steadily creeping up. As was the case in the last year of the Biden era, it's getting hard to survive. The world is in the grip of a K shaped economy, especially the west. Very hard to govern and retain power no matter Dem or Republican.

It is common sense that people don't do a data analsys of the entire reply thread to form opinions. Dinesh, probably is responding after a cursory look at the top responses AT THE TIME he made the obersvation. you also missed the most important observation, the racist comments aren't in response to a controversial post by Vivek. It is in response to an innocuous post showing Vivek & his kids living life like a normal assimilated american that the right preaches immigrants should do.

Now lets address the data. Based on the version of grok you get different results 10 or 40. But none of them will give me an analysis of the entire dataset, they stop around 300 even when I ask them to batch the response. But lets go with the grok think which gives the lowest 10% number. Based on the 77.3 million republican voters for Trump, 50% poll number who identify themselves as MAGA that's 4 million ppl who hate Indians just for living their lives.

 

A more appropriate post was when Vivek posted about ending identity politics. grok think came up with 62% xenophobic comments for it, extrapolated to MAGA that would be a scary 24 million.

I never have asked anyone to vote a certain way, each person has a reason to vote the way he or she wants, I respect that. All I have ever said was not to cheer the dismantling of check & balances that exists because the side you voted is doing it & the person being affected is someone you hate.

 

And its also a numbers game, even if all muslims in US hate hindus (the numbers of hindus & muslims are around the same), their power in the coalition is limited. They were unable to even influence their side to go against Israel, Newsom the leading candidate for 2028 has been responsive to Indian & hindu concerns even when the lower rungs of the party tried to push anti hindu measures. Ilhan omar got shut down by her own party when she said some anti-semetic stuff. There simply isn't open mass anti-hindu, anti-indian strain that is openly spread by big influencers in the left like in the right. When you are a minority you need the check & balances even more.

 

Also there is on ground reality, ppl involved in active politics like Dinesh, Vivek (with his recent no to identity politics), Ben Shapiro (released a 30 min video against groyper) & JD who excuses blatant racism from 30 yr olds against Indians & jews as just kids, don't react this way without understanding their base. They see what is happening some like DInesh, vivek, Laura & ben are sounding the alarm, JD is afraid to confront it. 

 

based on the exdous of south asian voters yesterday, the ppl who sounded the alarm were right.

^ Listening to economists or people who understand, Looks like stores are waiting on job numbers data and hoping its decent. Assumption is , based on that data they will start passing on tarriff to consumers in 2026

Above post. Nail on the head. Usa is a trasactional soceity.  Sure they will vote for issues of the day if the core economic matters are resolved. 

 

Its the same for dems. Nobody gives a fudge about the trans agenda. 

 

Trump can genuinely get peace in ukraine but if peple feel poorer they will kick you out. Bush sr "won" against the ussr. But was defeated by clinton.

 

Maybe not much republicans can do. Firms seem to be making healthy profits and still laying people off.

^ AI isn't at a stage where it start replacing ppl outside of tech but enconomy is losing jobs across the board except may be health care.

 

Trump is actively making it worse, intrests rates need to come down for more jobs, but tariffs are making the fed move slower.

 

Govt. employees a good chunk of ppl, he is actively firing ppl. Business impacted by tariff need to cut costs, can't plan ahead & need to hire less or stop hiring.
