Things are shifting. True, not just Indians. But this will mostly affect them & Chinese, as they are the ones in long backlog. The whole point of this push is to move these approvals to state department (via consulates) where they can delay appointments, reject without judicial review & cull by attrition. While countries that have predominantly Caucasians will offer better service. Looks like there is backtracking with clarification that dual intent visas like h1 won’t be affected, after pushback from some voices in Silicon Valley. Also the predominant opinion of immigration attorneys suggest that is against the clear reading of the law & will get enjoined. Need to wait & watch how they will go about it. ravishingravi Posted May 25 Author Posted May 25 (edited) Was in Switzerland for a visit. Pretty amazed by number of Indians. Especially NRIs from US. Loud and uncouth to the core. Atleast couple of them who i spoke to told me that i should feel grateful for respite from India's pollution. To one lady, i had to say atleast i will bevack home, while you will remain in the waiting room. Looking at these full of themselves NRIs, now I am okay if they get kicked out.
