I disagree with Dr. JB on a lot of things (esp the GBD that basically had no real plan on how to isolate the elderly and vulnerable), but he is a real scientist and scholar. Of course, the only reason he was appointed was because somehow his views fit with the "anti-establishment" narrative, but the difference is that he actually is an expert. Unlike ya-know-who. The NIH needs a big overhaul (stop legacy funding, fund disruptive rather than derivative research and support young scientists more). He might actually do some of this.

Stan AF Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 (edited) Go find another sucker': Trump's message to BRICS members, which includes India ByHT News Desk Dec 01, 2024 09:49 AM IST Over the past few years a few of BRICS members, excluding India and in particular Russia and China, are seeking an alternative to the US Dollar. Donald Trump, the next president of the United States, said on Saturday that BRICS countries can ‘go find another sucker’ if they cannot commit that they will neither create a new currency of their own, nor back any other currency “to replace the mighty US Dollar”. US President-elect Donald Trump (AP/File) Formed in 2009, BRICS is an intergovernmental organisation comprising nine countries - Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia, and the United Arab Emirates - and was originally identified to highlight investment opportunities. BRICS is the only major international group of which the United States is not a part. Over the past few years a few of its member countries, excluding India and in particular Russia and China, are seeking an alternative to the US Dollar or create own BRICS currency. Warning BRICS countries against any move to replace the US dollar, President Elect sought a commitment from the nine-member group. “The idea that the BRICS Countries are trying to move away from the Dollar while we stand by and watch is OVER,” the president-elect said in a post on microblogging platform X. “We require a commitment from these Countries that they will neither create a new BRICS Currency, nor back any other Currency to replace the mighty U.S. Dollar or, they will face 100% Tariffs and should expect to say goodbye to selling into the wonderful U.S. Economy,” Trump warned. “They can go find another 'sucker!' There is no chance that the BRICS will replace the US Dollar in International Trade, and any Country that tries should wave goodbye to America,” Trump wrote. https://www.hindustantimes.com/world-news/go-find-another-sucker-trumps-message-to-brics-members-which-includes-india-101733021861786.html Edited December 1, 2024 by Stan AF

Tillu Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 President-elect Donald Trump mocked Prime Minister Justin Trudeau overnight as the "governor" of the "Great State of Canada" after recently warning of potential tariffs on the country. "It was a pleasure to have dinner the other night with Governor Justin Trudeau of the Great State of Canada," Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social account just after midnight Tuesday. "I look forward to seeing the Governor again soon so that we may continue our in depth talks on Tariffs and Trade, the results of which will be truly spectacular for all!" Neither the Trump transition team nor Trudeau’s office immediately responded to requests for comment

I think , what that means is Chinese are confident that they are winning US China war. Economists making forecasts for a doomed Chinese future based on Chinese real estate data is incorrect. In fact in a good economy cost of home must go down. Think, Only Chinese have achieved that. US have very limited space and that too using military might. China is catching up there too ravishingravi 1
