tapandrun Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 (edited) 10 hours ago, deathmonger said: What will happen: CT will be hybrid with all of Ind's matches along with one semi and the final outside Pakistan. 2026 T20 WC and 2031 ODI WC are co-hosted with SL/Bang respectively (or other way around). Pak will play all their group stage matches outside India EXCEPT the one against India (so they will fly in/out of India for that match). One of the semis will be in India (if India qualifies this will be it). The other one will be in the other country. Similar to how in this WC India were to play their semi in Guyana if they qualify no matter the position. If Pak are in this semi, they will play in India. O/w they will play the other semi in the different country. Again this is if Pak qualifies for any of the semis. Final will be played in India, no matter who plays whether Ind, Pak or any other. This is basically the 2011 WC formula. Pak played all their games outside India and then played SF in Mohali. Then Pak and Ind were in different groups so there was no group stage match. Don't think there won't be in 26 and 31 (ODI WC anyways is all vs all unless they change the format). 2025 Womens ODI WC and 2029 CT are fully in India and Pak will play all games in India. This is like WC 2023. Ofc Pakistan can forfeit the matches in India or withdraw altogether but those matches which are scheduled in India will not be moved out. BCCI will not budge on this. BCCI is okay with Pakistan playing their non India group stage matches outside India in 2026 and 2031. Pakistan will not get any ICC trophies for the foreseeable future to avoid these things. Asia Cups won't be held in either India/Pak. Will revolve around SL, Bang, UAE. Might even have a surprise like Nepal or Oman (who have decent facilities). This is porprly summed-up scenario. All these were pre-decided, the issue may again come-up in 2026 and 2031 wc (by media) bt it will be solved as mentioned. The only thing changes now is that instead of proper round-robin it will be group stages in odi wc again. The last time Asia cup was held in hybrid model then PCB chair (Sethi) got alot of backslash frm their media and former player asking him that he didnt hold the ground or made any effort. The thing is BCCI does not take anything coming fr Asia cup all the revenue goes to other Asian board, including PCB (think so). Also looked like current PCB chair bought into by some1 or ppl in pak cricketing system that if they make an issue out of it they can gain something. The icc revenue sharing does not change for this cycle, bcci was not happy with previous system if they had to wait then pcb would have to wait too. They will take something upfront being practical because the icc revenue sharing system will again be looked into in next cycle and then terms can change and no other board would like their share to be reduced. For farming views media and social media just played around it knowing well in advance what will be the outcome or may be they were instructed to do so Edited December 1, 2024 by tapandrun raki05 1

Lord Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Why is hybrid model even offered now after the recent incident? Have to move it away from that country.

There is nothing wrong with being realistic and looking at your position or weakness. This idiot Naqvi was trying to be hero, and now proving himself to be zero . The previous PCB chairmen were at least realistic and agreed to hybrid model when India refused to travel to Pakistan for Asia cup, that was sensible approach . bowl_out and sandeep 2

What's the point of all that dramebaazi and chest thumping when they eventually had to make a fool of themselves in front of the whole world. No wonder why no one takes them seriously. All this is due to decades of muftkhori and living on donations. Kuch kaam kar liye hote to itni beizatti na jhelni padti. But all they know is stuffing on nan-paratha.
