What a dynamic position man....c5 square is crucial, here presently the Black knight sits, need to challenge it by putting bishop at a3.

Great call. Ba3 basically opened it up for Gukesh, Ding using all the time in moves in response to that:hatsoff:

Ive been watching all the games with zero tension till now. This win suddenly is making me so tensed about maybe Gukesh losing his advantage in the next three games.

Gukesh please win one more game and remove all the tension which is very much possible because Ding will take a lot more risks in the next three games.

Ding was down a game against Nepo and won match 12 to tie the match and take it to rapid tie breaks which Ding won to become World Champion.

So he does have very recent history of fighting back at the fag end of the match.

It would be foolish to write Ding off.

If Gukesh takes undue risks ( like all experts mildly criticized him for ) , he would be inviting trouble for himself from this advantageous position.

Surprise opening tactic by Gukesh worked really well today! It caught Ding by surprise and Ding had already lost more than an hour in the first 10 moves. Gukesh has amazing levels of concentration over long periods of time and it finally tested and got the better of Ding. Well played. Hope he can keep the lead. 3 games to go.

Not feeling good about today's game. That eval bar is giving me a little tension.

Easy position to play for ding... 'position plays itself' as nepo would say..it is upto the fighting spirit of gukesh which he has in abundance.

Ding has the heart of a champion.

From an absolutely crushing loss yesterday to deliver a crushing win like this in 24 hours takes a lot of character.

Aside from the opening prep  - he has been the better player than Gukesh.

Seeing the smile and happiness on Anish Giri's face , you just realize -- nobody outside of India is a well wisher.

Nobody wants to see an 18 yr old win the crown.

Anish was dissappointed yesterday to see Gukesh win, but he is excessively excited and chirpy today to see Gukesh fall.

I wouldn't blame today's game on Gukesh. Ding didn't plan for it and he luckily got into a very good position where black has zero options. We might see a result tomorrow as well. Hope Gukesh wins tomorrow's game.
