One stat alone should tell you the difference in hunger and the seriousness towards improving in test cricket

 

Kohli played his last Ranji match in November 2012 at age of 24 years

Sachin played his last Ranji match in October 2013, exactly one year AFTER Kohli, at the age of 40 years.
