Yea setting all sorts of records in Delhi pl. Hit 6 sixes.

Probably one to look out for. He is working on the right skills. He probably may play for India before of under-19 world cup winning captain Yash Dhull as he has decent FC and List A numbers but not T20 numbers.

Dull does not look like a t20 player at in level be it local leagues,

Del has 2/3 LH batter Priyash and other was sujal top order LH batter capable hitters atleast at domestic level. Think stand deliver is getting more popular these days because batters do not want to lose the shape while trying to hit 4/6, they want to pre-empt the line and length get to the position in power stance and then try to hit it-- Kind of how  Miller bats.

Its more usual for LH batters because they can not have that open stance where accessing off-side becomes easy or they can full swing towards legside.

Think this is one of the reason there are not many 360 or sky/ab/maxwell kind of LH batters.

yes. That is where Pant is a little behind. He loses shape completely makes his six hitting a risky affair as he relies on momentum rather than timing. Shivam Dube's recent success can be attributed to this. As soon as the ball is in the zone go for it. I like the way how the new West Indian guys like Rutherford, Carty do similarly. Once it is in their half they absolutely massacre it without much feet movement.

Pant is not a t20 batter, its v.simple. Ppl confuses his test batting for T20 batting.

In test he plays those attacking shots those gets looped up and lands safely because fielders are not defending boundaries but are in slips and close-in. His mistimed shots lands in no-man places and then bounces to the boundary or he takes 2/3.

In white-ball the field is open. fielders are defending boundaries the loopy shots get caught.

He can not access off-side for a 4/6, can not hit down the ground to a fast bowler with out making some momentum. Can not hit 4/6 right from the crease. These are too many limitations for a t20 batter specially for some1 in middle order. This could work in PP where he can clear the inner ring and fetch boundaries. But then Ind has so many and better openers in line. These days teams would make a batter keep the wkts then trying to make a batter out of a keeper.

He has intent but clearly lack ability and power for it.

Ind should be looking elsewhere for a t20 wkt-batter. Not sure for sanju if that just a small purple patch, Kishan is not even a intnl material cant put bat to ball if there is little bit of deviation be it spin or pace. JItesh is not looking like a solution in lower middle order.

Yash dhull looks distinctly average in this format. Striking at 117.  In comparison 23 year old Priyansh Arya is striking  at 176 with a lot of sixes. Already 23 sixes. Among the under 25 he has the most sixes for this season..

Dhull is reaping the benefits of bcci yojana - you become the U19 captain of India, you are assured to get a long rope with your state team.
