in their domestic t20 league he was wayward as well, but troubled batters with pace (for local leagues 135+ kmph is good pace)and bounce.

Yes, he struggles with control when bowling full length deliveries. He is at ease when he has to hit the deck.

He has to do a lot more work at the moment. Definitely not ready.

Baroda scripted history on Thursday, December 5 in Indore as they smashed the record for the highest total in T20 cricket in a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match against Sikkim.

Riding on Bhanu Pania's 51-ball 134, Baroda posted 349 for 5 in their quota of 20 overs, going past the previous best tally of 344 for 4 in 20 overs.

Baroda also broke the record for the most sixes in an innings, hitting 37 of them. Bhanu Pania hit 15 of them as Baroda became the first team in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy to post a total of 300 or more.

All the batters who scored at least 10 runs for Baroda struck at a rate of over 200 as Baroda tore into the Sikkim bowling attack.

Baroda rested Hardik Pandya for the Group B tie. When Krunal Pandya won the toss, he opted to bat.

Openers Abhimanyu Singh (53 off 17 balls) and Shahwat Rawat (43 off 16 balls) added 92 runs for the opening partnership in just five overs.

However, Baroda lost both batters in quick succession as they slipped to 108 for 2.

Bhanu Pania and Shivalik Sharma then went after the Sikkim bowlers, who had no answers to the onslaught. PBhanu hit 15 sixes and five boundaries while Shivalik hit six sixes and 3 boundaries in their partnership of 94 runs that came in just five overs.

Baroda raced past the 300-run mark in record time after their top-order fired big time.

Vikram Solanki, their wicketkeeper, chipped in with a sensational cameo of 50 from just 16 balls, smashing six sixes and two boundaries.

The north east teams shouldn't play in the main league of SMAT. Devaluing it too much. They can play in a plate T20 division just like Ranji plate.

Teams are getting better in t20 formats, Asm reached SF last time.

Smaller team face similar problem which teams like Bd are facing ,there are 3 different formats up keep of the sides take a lot depending up-on the resources, they can not find player good for all 3 formats. Teams like Afgn who play only 1/2 format are getting better because they can have players suitable to that particular format.

Not sure if that is good idea but a message should go that they try to improve in white ball cricket .

There should be some plan to get these player to IPL set-up not the squad if they are not good but set-up. Special camps so they can improve on the know how what is needed in modern cricket, Afgn cricket got massive help when BBL start picking up their player (spinners) now they have a v.good t20 side and players like rashis , nabi they are capable enough of leading good t20 sides too at leagues level.

Even the difference in visible in domestic t20 leagues where leagues with player having IPL exp.  looks better leagues and teams are able to perform like a t20 games.

The other leagues where they do not have ipl exp league player they find it hard to score and chase 150. After 1/2 batter they have no one who can hti 4/6

may be BCCI can invite them for playing against NE sides..will be good for both..

They briefly invited some non Indian sides for Ranji if I am not wrong

Pnjb has some agreement where they travel to nambia for a t20 series. Thnk it was Bd where their U19 some other team played.

Yes that would be good Idea to play these associate sides , but then why would other local bards would not want such games/tours??

Nagarkoti has been steady this season...not leaking many runs and picking up wickets every game.

Today as well 27 runs in 4 overs and 1 wicket vs Bengal. Bowling looks lot better and now completing his runup as well.

Hope he makes up for the lost time, though his batting has nosedived and is just a tailender.

Deepak Chahar looks a sub 125kph trundler though, even Aniket Chaudhary who is around 35 is bowling with more pace and movement than him.

what's the point of organizing such tournaments ....

Patta tracks - no grass on the pitcch.

in australia -10 mm grass on the pitch, 6 mm grass on the Pitch left.

do u think these lapetebaz batsman would suceed in Australia , Newzealand, england , even Srilanka.

yes they can score some runs on INDIA patta or in PAK patta's( we dont play in PAK)

i do not understand the LOGIC of organising such tournaments.

No one cares, all SMAT does now is supplying domestic talent to IPL, as a byproduct it helps certain finished cricketers revive their career for couple of international tours if they get endorsement from powerful folks.

They don't leave such grass in T20s and this is a T20 tournament.
