It doesn't make any sense that Gujrat has 3 teams, while UP, Rajasthan has only one. Whereas each North Eastern state has a team of it's own. Pitches also has to be altered accordingly, make it diverse. If Chennai assists spin, make Coimbatore as a pacer friendly...even local batters will get to play on both pitches and learn how to tackle the different challenges thrown to them. In the broadcasted game between Bengal vs Chandigarh....bowlers like Jagjit, Nikhil, Sandeep, Kanishka all were trundling...they didnt even reach 130 k. Only Bawa, Sayan and Shami crossed 130k and out of them only Shami crossed 135k, and Shami is 35 year old. The number of team is a sensitive issue for local boards and bcci itself. Its to accommodate the number of players playing the sports. After IPL the ppl are looking cricket as proper profession. The pitches are diverse in red-ball cricket, can not compare with white-ball pitches you need good batting wkts for white-ball, plus same ground is used for multiple games so you need a v.good batting wkt as they station few teams at a particular location and then have matches on those grounds. The problem is pacer and system kind of willing or unwilling supports sub 135 kmph bowlers-edge do not fly goes to wkt or slips, drives can be stopped if ball is not travelling that quick across the turf. Pun dropped Gurnoor after 1 bad outing, Sakib was dropped from Bihar team, The only bowler at intnl pace is Sandeep warrier (TM) Link to comment

Even UP need at leat two teams with such high population. Gujarat and Maharashtra have three teams each. Chandigarh catchment area is not limited to just chandigarh city. Northeast teams are weak in comparison. Yes UP, even del can have multiple t20 teams. Last time Assam made to SF, think Raj and Hryn played finals, before that Himcl got to final. Teams are coming-up in t20s , NE teams should be prepared for t20, bt till they do not have IPL player then can not get better. There is a huge difference between player with IPL exp. and normal domestic player who has no ipl exp. 6-hitting, keep and increasing tempo not getting bogged down when asking rate is 10+. IPL players are better at those things. Edited December 10, 2024 by tapandrun Link to comment

Many pacers like Jagjit, Sandeep, Nikhil were bowling 120-122k...Sandeep bowles 125-128 in IPL as well. Bawa bowled 127-133...so around 132-138...seems realistic tweaker 1 Link to comment

deepdynamo
Shami looking unfit, pedestrian and awful. Bowling just 130's and getting destroyed by no name domestic batsman. 0/40 (3) ind_hyd1 1 Link to comment
ind_hyd1
Very disappointed with Akash singh,at this age if you are bowling at 128-131 then what is the value he is adding to Baroda as Professional . Better he move back to Nagaland or any other NE team. Link to comment
ind_hyd1
What was Speed of UP bowlers in the UP vs Del match. Anyone consistently above 135? Link to comment
deepdynamo
Mavi was around 135-137 but he was carted out with ease...no bowling intelligence. 0/52 (4) Bhuvi was 130ish but too canny for domestic batters. Respectable figure. In contrast, Ishant is still proving too hot for these domestic hacks. We aren't able to find the replacement of Ishant till date. rollingstoned and ind_hyd1 2 Link to comment

Del. t20 league had everything, proper t20 style batter bowler bowling at some pace for local t20 league. The only thing that was not up to the mark was fielding and catching. Could be due to flood lights not many would have played Dn matches so constantly and in proper ground . UP and mah t20 league were good too Edited December 11, 2024 by tapandrun rollingstoned 1 Link to comment

singhvivek141
Priyansh Arya's batting is very similar to Abhishek Sharma...not much feet movement and uses long levers to hit big shots. Prince Yadav is nippy, bowls 135-138kph. Fastest I saw from Simarjeet 141.5kph...Ishant too clocked 138. ind_hyd1 1 Link to comment
