DC is owned by 2 diff. investors GMR and JSW. They had an agreement to run the team 2 years each.

Now they might have come to some different aggregments.

Rahul shouldn't be made captain. Because if he plays freely, he is one of the best T20 batsmen around. Captaincy subdues him.  He still holds the record of fastest 50 in IPL.

Lack of niche skills maybe. There is abundance of right arm pacers. 

 

Farooqi is a left arm pacer...which is a skill in demand this season. As they can move the ball into the right handers.

Omarzai has a secondary skill, that helped him.

Naveen is not ordinary pacer. His action is like Bumrah. Got Head 2-3 times already

Other options are Faf and Axar.

Faf might be good, but the only thing is that he uses up an overseas slot, so there is lesser flexibility with the other overseas slots.
