He had a decent outing with RCB in Smallswamy. LSG and RR were too optimistic to think that he would have similar performances with them Link to comment
LordPrabhzy
https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/players-threaten-legal-action-over-new-ecb-stance-on-nocs-1462579 Mean while in Eng.. they have issue a policy for English players banning them from playing any other T20 leagues overseas during their T20 tournaments, IPL is exception as this outside domestic season in Eng. Could affect PSL, CLP, MLC etc. At least BCCI offers very high salaries in IPL to placate indian players to not wanting to play overseas leagues.. ECB dont play enough and also restrict them. What a joke of a board Link to comment

What a joke of a board the hundred is not as big a commercial success as ecb thought it to be, internally they are thinking of talking to these ipl franchises for investments. But they do not want to give the ownership completely to them, but these ipl franchises does not run it that way or another league and ownership for that matter. ppl in ecb knows it not a new thing for eng. sporting culture they have biggest football league. Any franchise comes with their own culture, staff, people, brand and followership/clout that brings the fans and in turn sponsors and following. Eng players are sought after in the leagues, even players who are not in eng team are also sought after. Sooner or later ind players will also start playing those leagues where ipl franchises have teams. that can be the only thing that can bring mny to non-ipl league Edited November 30 by tapandrun Link to comment

Vk1
Something has changed in the last 1-2 years. All of a sudden our batsmen are able to hit sixes with ease especially during PP or after getting set. I don't know if its a mindset change or increased focus on range hitting or natural evolution. Or is it due to SKY phenom? Slog overs hitting is still an issue but that too would be resolved soon. Kl, Sharma and Kolhi - Ind's top 3 are all slow started and would take time to get going and wait till some personal milestone before start hitting. Jaiswal has been striking at a SR over 150 that gave some impetus in PP and Rohit changing his approach in PP has helped too. But they still struggled to keep or increase the tempo in middle to last overs. Last few series were against not so tough opponents so saying batting has improved will too early to say. But yes approach has changed Abhishek is trying to strike over 200 sr. Sanju also hitting from starting maximizing pp has been key, and then who so ever comes is trying to increase the tempo. Still Ind lacks a finisher even though they have posted multiple 220+ scores but it always looked like Ind did finish well from over 17-20. Intent is one thing that has changed with slow starter not in playing 11, we saw in emerging Aisa cup Verma was not able to keep and tempo up or increase it and not making good use of a quick start frm openers. These are self assigned accumulators or anchors who play fr their own personal milestones. Most top-teams are going with same mentality to keep the tempo up all the time even when wkts are falling. if doing so they get 150 score they will take it. Aus showed that kind of intent agnst pak. Still to be seen if Ind can play same way against stronger teams or not Edited December 4 by tapandrun Link to comment
