He's not interested in Tests else would have been picked in 1st squad

to be fair, I dont think its an interest thing, its an injury and what his body will allow him to do at this point, thing.

Rohit

Jaiswal

Gill

Kohli

Pant

Rahul

Nitish

Ashwin

Bumrah

Siraj

Krishna

Impressed with Washis batting, he was calm and composed, but his bowling was bad. We need Ashwin to handle Head and Carey in the next test.

I think we have to start giving attacking fielding even if the bowler doesn't want. Force them to stick to a plan.  Overall field set for spinners is pathetic

If GIll comes back in he should replace KOhli from slips. Hope they are not hell bent on keeping Kohli there.

+1 cant afford dropped catches in a tight match

the next test is massive. win that and India will be spoken of in terms we have never witnessed. bumrah wont be around forever. this is it. this is it!

Why so. India has already won last two series in Australia. Last one with a C team. Is it because of D / N ?

Pink Ball  starts moving a bit post evening . So someone who is always on stumps and has skill to move both ways  even if not pacy would be a good addition for D/N match . Tempted to take Akashdeep or Mukki than Krishna .

Krishna is a worse option than Harshit who can actually hit the pitch harder than Krishna.

Akashdeep is a tempting option for D/N game.

I think all three of them should have a face off in that practice game

Pink ball bounces a lot too and does not move much during day. Need a bounce bowler. Harshit will be retained.

Bumrah and Siraj are there to move the ball in the evening.

Don't tinker with Rahul-Jaiswal option at the top. That is working well.
Rohit can come in for Paddikal.

Also, don't rush Gill in the team. Ease him from 3rd test onwards.
Akashdeep can come in for Rana. Or Maybe not.

But that's about it.

I prefer batting security over spin quality in a day night test.

Remember 90% wickets in day night test at Adelaide has been taken by fast bowlers. Minimal impact by spinners.

I remember discussing with you and others here during 22 T20 WC that Adelaide Oval is the fastest pitch in Australia nowadays.

Darren Lehman said the same that since 2016-17 this is the fastest pitch in Australia.

So I think going with 4 pacers in this test is a good option.

Don't think Jadeja is a downgrade on Washington batting wise. But yeah one could pick any of the three and it wouldn't be a terrible selection. Ashwin looks shot as a batsman though
