This is worse than Odd Even rule . Even staunch supporters can’t defend this rule. People will sell their vehicles  out of state , or fill up gas in Noida or Gurugram.  What about the life-time road tax paid . So many people hardly drive and their 12 year vehicle is maintIned well and still are forced to lose their vehicles.  Log sadak pe aajayenge AAP will organize rallies. Hutiyaapa

Agreed. If the vehicle passes polution check then what's the problem. Across Delhi you see so many vehicles rotting on road why not start with them. Person is using beatup motorcycle or car cause he can't afford a new one. Saw police hold up so many people yesterday. Rubbish law. By the way this is for ncr. Nodia/gurgaon filling will also become difficult in coming months.

What a stupid, draconian move. This won't even help with the air pollution situation much, but instead make it worse for the middle class. Massive own goal by the BJP.

They needed to crackdown on the farm stubble burning not this.

CSE received funds from Ford foundation and Tata . The research was done in 2020 during z Kejruddin days and NGT and SC recommended the govts to implement this rule. Even AAP didn’t do it and BJP implemented the rule. Tata directly gains from this rule. @randomGuy

Why did they implement the rule to begin with and now he says put on hold!

This is the problem i have with any govt. Dont put in place a stupid rule but if you have then have the balls to follow through. Govt taking U turn is such a disaster. Shows you can roll back anything.

Outrage making them undo a dumb move is a win though.

Those not living in Delhi NCR right now dont realize how cost of living has shot up. I want my delivery in 8 mins but forget about the chap who somehow purchased an old bike just to keep afloat. Families are struggling to get kids through school and college, govt wants to add a new vehicle on top of existing struggle. Then there is this young aspirational India which needs education on how to manage their financials.
