Freddie was the quickest, once he let go off extra weight. Simon Jones, Harmison & Gough were similar pace, Hoggard was a trundler. Steve Finn can click 145 and above when he came to the scene, probably quickest then. But soon lost pace courtesy of injuries. Dernbach too was quick and can clock 144. Laaloo Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 Don't usually root for an england win but hope they pile on 500+ and bowl Nz out for 35 putrevus 1

Yeah but Freddie was quicker after 2000. He was asking about bowlers who were quick before 2000. Gough was capable of hitting 90 mph. But there were no speed guns back then. He has definitely been clocked at 149.8 kph and that was in May, 2000 when he was 30 years old. Allegedly clocked 150 + in the 1998/99 season in Australia as well.
rageaddict Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 England into the lead now with 5 wickets still in hand. Made a comeback from 71/4 when it looked like NZ would get a heavy lead and win the match, but now England are the favorites.
vvvslaxman Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 Santner who is not even a test class bowler, Glen Philips who is hardly a bowler rolled us over. What kind of moronic startegy we employed for that series. rollingstoned 1
Frustrated Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 NZ continue to struggle against every opponent (Except Ind)
Number Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 (edited) NZ losing(in all probability) this test only because of their fielding. Never thought something like this will ever happen. Edited November 30, 2024 by Number
putrevus Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 NZ is a doormat to all other teams but they somehow manage to beat India everytime.
putrevus Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 Everyone can bat in this england lineup except Bashir.

Frustrated Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 Not just in cricket. Even in hockey, NZ sucks against every opponent (except against Ind). In 2023 Hockey WC, minnow NZ eliminated Ind in group stage. Was NZ created only to beat Ind? Sgattick10 1
Lone Wolf Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 NZ knocked out of WTC. Poms must be eyeing a series win against these sheep sh@@**rs Frustrated 1

IND vs SA if AUS continues to stink ( and they have two tough test vs SL) IND VS AUS if SA chokes and drop tests to SL and PAK AUS VS SA if IND falters in BGT

Devon Malcolm was one of the quickest bowler in the 90s.

He meant Craig White ,the AR in late 90s and early 2000,he used to send few at late 140s out of nowhere from low 130s He was round arm,did reverse ball and helped Eng win against Pak in their tour to Pak

England used short balls, Ashley Giles and reverse swing to beat PAK in PAK. My point about Gough was that he was very likely the quickest 90's bowler from England. I know Devon Malcolm was supposed to be quicker but he was a rubbish bowler
Sgattick10 Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 Lol Rachin only works on spinning wickets.
Norman Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 How the fukk did we get whitewashed by these turds? BKL Rohit sharma should have retired at Barbados and be done with it. He's the single biggest reason we don't have a home streak. Lord and Laaloo 1 1
Norman Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 Chalo atleast England did a favour to us for once. Now all we need to do is win the BGT 3-1 and we are pretty much guaranteed of a final against South Africa...which I definitely back us to win. Sgattick10 1
