A brutal regime toppled by a group of brutal militants who will do exactly the same brutal things - and "their people" will get behind them while Assad supporters will condemn them for their brutality forgetting that their own leader was just a brutal.

Kurdish faction controls the region with oil wells and is obviously supported by US. So, who gets which region is key. Also HTS faction that reached Damascus has looted all the money from the Central Bank. It’s going to be a bloody civil war

Jihadi fans should rejoice. Spoiled for choices where Sharia is imposed. Pity none of them will actually move there to enjoy the benefits of Sharia.

Libya, Sudan, Afghanistan and now Syria. Sunni Shariat won 4 countries recently. BD is almost there

Fall of Syria is a big blow to Russia and Iran.

Till now it was giving a free passage to Iran and Hezbollah militants via Iraq and Syria...now that road will be cut off by Israel as current group in power is heavily supported by US.

Kurds are US ally. Turkey is part of Nato want to attack Kurds. American dont want that.

Russian and Assad were ally to Turkey when it came to Kurds.
ISIS faction has come to power but ISIS mothership still remains in Syria.

Golan heights belong to Syria which is under Israel. So new gvmnt will be forced to take anti Israel posture soon. Hence Syria civil war will come back in few years

President Biden said the U.S. launched airstrikes against Islamic State targets inside Syria on Sunday, just hours after the Assad regime fell. “Just today, U.S. forces conducted dozens of precision strikes, airstrikes within Syria targeting ISIS camps and ISIS honorables,” Biden said, referring to Islamic State. The U.S. maintains a force of around 900 troops in southeast Syria to defend against Islamic State fighters. “We’re clear-eyed about the fact that ISIS will try to take advantage of the vacuum,” he said. “We will not let that happen.”

A senior administration official said the U.S. hit 75 targets in Syria on Sunday, using 140 munitions from B-52, F-15 and A-10 warplanes. There was no immediate assessment of the operation. Separately, the U.S. is doing “everything we can” to ensure Syria’s chemical weapons “are not available to anyone or are cared for,” the official told reporters Sunday. “There are a number of efforts going on” with some regional partners engaged, the official said.
