The biggest solution is IMO, for most problems in the world -

Don't have expectations (or hope) from anyone else but yourself - I've seen even the closest friends/relatives kinda stab you in the back when you least expected it! Life is all about yourself & your own journey, sure you can be naive but don't fall in the trap of trusting anyone enough that they can hurt you - fatally at that

The one thing I've learnt over the years is that the less expectations you have from anyone - a person, this *ing society or the world the better you'd be! In that sense I don't believe anything or anyone, including gods, anymore. And the BS that keeps being romanticized in stupid films like 3 idiots is just BS - you can work all your life & just a minor slip/blip can ruin it almost entirely for you, that includes trusting someone :whack3:

Sane advice. But not easy to practice

The biggest culprit, I would say, is the legal system.

The judge was a vampire and was ready to suck the blood out of Atul for bribe. Giving 120 dates is pure spite and inhumane cruelty.

The defendant, atleast must have the right to choose where he fights the case.

We are a screwed up people living a screwed up society. No other explanation for such evil laws.

Atul was a Hero. I believe his sacrifice will not go waste.

Reminds me of what naipaul says in "India a wounded civilization"

Being subjugated by various foreign invaders has permanently damaged the psyche of indian people.

Yup. Wish someone told me this more than a decade ago.

No expectations is Nirvana. I hope everyone gets there.

Clear laws for financial liability in case of separation should help reduce conflicts at the time of separation and ego trips. Like some states in the US have clear financial liabilities laid, no fault divorce!

Marriage could be turning into an outdated concept as a) both men and women have the opportunity to be financially independent, making the couples less reliant on each other, b) people change with time so it can get difficult to maintain a relationship based on old understandings, c) time spent with the spouse is relatively reducing due to various other life and work commitments and distractions, weakening the emotional bond b/w couples, d) various pressures in life can make people relatively mentally unstable and sensitive, and e) due to social media, mobile phones, etc., it is easy to access various negative opinions and therefore be exposed to negative social influence

no arrests but some effect atleast

Judge Rita kaushik still remaining....

But Atuls sacrifice was for bigger purpose of amending the evil laws which will ultimately destroy Hindu marriage system, and ultimately destroy all Hindus, if not amended....it is 15 years overdue.
