Sagar Shah should show magnus' last rapid game vs Aryan tari. Magnus' ass was showing in his jeans. Chessbase India have it on a long video. Just make a 30sec clip. I have shared the vid before

. I bet the arbitrator also saw that inappropriate, disgusting view for a chess game and asked him to change before next game.

Looks like FIDE CEO is really mad…

I wish they actually did something - like a 1 year ban from FIDE events for such conduct.

Think he is talking about Levy Rozman, partner with Carlsen on Take Take app, who was giving some excuses like New Year's Eve and all that.

Nakamura, surprisingly, was extremely angry with Carlsen and FIDE and quite sympathetic to Nepo as he feels it's difficult to turn down Carlsen in such a tricky moment.

Will be interesting what happens now. Magnus with Saudi money probably will run the freestyle Chess circuit completely if gets banned. There is actually very little money in Chess(Outside Indian GMs), most players probably spent more than they earned through prize money in recent Rapid and Blitz event.

it's a pity that chess is so underfunded that pieces-of-s**t like Maggie Cracksen can run it like their fiefdom

What a coward Magnus is....chickened out of the real World Championship - classical - after he could not beat guys like Caruana and Karjakin in the classical format.

Chickened out of the Rapids with the Jeans drama when he had literally no chance of catching up with the leaders.

And now talking Nepo into playing draws in the Blitz...

This is beyond shameful.

there is a reason why Magnus is going against FIDE and trying to throw his star power around - he is done with classical format, which means chess is done with classical format in his worldvision.
The reason for this is simple - magnus isnt just a genius chess player, he is also high functioning autistic. Which means, as a PLAYER, his strengths are memory + pattern recognition, which is what is the ideal 'compooter ability'  to  just play chess like a spazztard and win off of memory and pattern recognition.

However, this is also a weakness in the classical format - because classical format gives you scope of time - the dilligent GM can calculate all the angles of a 55-45 advantage on move 20 that you just 'micro-blundered' if he is +20 minutes on the clock on Magnus even and put foot on the throat and not let up.

Because classical chess is meant to be the thinking man's game and that is where almost all theory comes from for even the fast formats and our great compooter chess gods who can beat the living **** outta magnus are only so because they have memory bank of every single classical format game ever built.

but reality of classical format is, you have to play against time pressure.

Where you get to create new games yourself and  ' prepare lines' and  play against a great.

Well what does that mean really in chess terms ?

it means, if you take say an opening - like QUeens gambit and its book counters like queens gambit declined and reach a stage that is all standard book memory by move 10 but then instead of the top 3 moves played in the scenario, you play a 4th move that has never been played in competitive chess, you just 'created a new game as of move 10 or 12 or 13 or whatever' and you get to play this, with your prep coach, another 10 moves deep and discover a cool advantage or win scenario from it and 'trap your fish' into it, unless he thinks furiously and picks the compooter optimal move every single move for next 10 moves.

This is much easier to do in classical format, where GMs prepre lines against other GMs and sometimes produce an immortal, like Vishy's immortal ( i suggest to any chess fans to check out Agadmador's video on it on youtube) and tool them in a certain heads up because you get to play with time control as you play prepared moves: you and your coach have figured out the next 10 moves for 'if he does A or B or C, i do X or Z or Y'  and while great magnus is going 'wot de foc u doing, lemme calculate, you are going hee hee, u take 2 min to make a move, i take 5 seconds, then u take another 2 min and i take 10 seconds and in 10 moves u r down 20 min on the clock and going 'oo sheet time control approaching' and i have just lost a minute on mine, muahahahah...gotchu bitch.

And Magnus hates this side of the game, because it requires strong rigour to be good at classical- not only do YOU have to keep exploring new lines all the time yourself, you also have to go home and figure out wot de foc happened that wasnt just a simple error on ur part but u got lead on to a trap and scratch ur head to solve it and all that ****.

This requires one to live, eat and breathe chess and not just rely on 'photographic memory+instincts' to play blitz or rapids, where you just gotta remember theory like no tomorrow to pull 20 moves in 2 minutes as standard pace and near end game where few pieces remain, use high end pattern recognition to get outta jail.

THAT is the game magnus thrives on and THAT is the war he is waging on FIDE and Chess itself- he wants to kill the classical format and make competitive chess all about blitz and rapids.
Because that means Magnus can get best of both worlds - he can branch out and party and live his life with his hot gf being cool guy plus show up to chess tourney as god and win with just a week's prep 10 times a year- throw in the tourney and its a 20 week a year investment into his chess life.

This is the crux of the war that is being waged on chess and reality is, most other chess players simply dont have the perfect combo of traits it takes to dominate the rapid formats for a long time like Magnus does.

Yet, also as magnus has shown and has also has papered over by the new restructured fide formats - which to be fair to Magnus, came before Magnus was a player and in 2006, where Fide was simply looking to break complicated and often boring tiebreak scenarios of classic format, classical only is definitely the most vulnerable format of Magnus.
Mostly coz Magnuz has gotten lazy in chess over time.
