He should've scored 60+ if he had played his natural game. But he couldn't due to all this forced criticism for MCG when Rohit and Kohli were the real culprits. As for others, I didn't have much hope. We're playing with 2 batters - Jaiswal and Pant - and a newbie who has punched above his weight (Nitish). Other than these three there're no strokemakers in the side. Edited January 3 by Ultimate_Game Vijy 1 Link to comment
Sooda
It was absolutely not One ball will always have your name on it in these conditions By going into a shell all initiative is being handed to the bowler to do as he pleases rather than force him off his line and length. None of our current lot are Pujara to grind out long haul. It is simply not their game Link to comment

One of them could have made more. And Jadeja's bowling could have been covered by Sundar anyway Ultimate_Game 1 Link to comment

MK55
We keep losing these golden opportunities gifted to these idiots on a platter by the bowlers. This f idiot Kohli is playing at such a crucial position. Even a 40-50 would have put the team in a commanding situation. And how entitled are these morons Rohit n Kohli feeling?? I don’t feel like watching matches anymore until the team is sorted. nitinbwj, Lord, Ultimate_Game and 1 other 1 3 Link to comment
MK55
And yes, they should have batted with better strike rate in the first innings. At least guys like Jadeja. That clown does not have the skills to survive by letting go of the good balls and capitalizing on the loose ones. He ended up “defending” every single thing thrown at him and then also got out like an idiot. But regardless of all that, you HAVE to win the crucial moments if you want to win matches and not be an embarrassment. That crucial moment was the batting in the second innings. nitinbwj and Ultimate_Game 1 1 Link to comment

Moreover, unlike Kohli, Sarfaraz does theoretically have the cut and ramp shot to play. Lord 1 Link to comment

We won't know unless given a shot. Majority thought Nitish wouldn't do that well either but he was pretty solid for the most part. Kohli is a known failure and Sarfaraz (or Jurel) deserved to play in place of him. Link to comment

Sarfaraz I doubt. Seems more suited to flat or spin friendly decks. Also bit too high risk player Link to comment
